Bella Sicilia Cafe: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Italian Cuisine
Bella Sicilia Cafe is a family-owned Southern Italian restaurant, bakery, coffee shop, and Italian grocery store located in Merritt Island, Florida. The restaurant is situated next to Home Depot and is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The cafe offers a wide range of homemade Italian pastries, breakfast, lunch, and more.
The cafe's menu changes daily, and the lunch specials are created from scratch every morning. The sausage and potato entrée and pasta and meatballs special are some of the favorites among customers. The pastries, cakes, cookies, cannoli, and napoleon are all made on the premises and are a must-try. Antonella, the owner, can even create custom pastries for special occasions.
The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is spacious and charming. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent. However, the prices are slightly higher than average, which may be a concern for some customers.
While some customers have had a negative experience with the cafe, most have praised the food and service. The cafe's pastries are a standout, and the croissants are buttery and delicious. The meatball sub and eggplant Parmesan entree are also highly recommended.

My first visit and my last visit. The two almond pastry cookies were both moldy. Disgusting. The inside of the cookies had green fur and the sfogliatella was warm from the non refrigerated showcase and was stale as cardboard. Actually got sick from it. Two bites and in the trash. Very expensive for rotted and moldy pastry. Obviously sitting there way too long. Zero ambiance. Being Italian and from New York this place is a joke. Huge disappointment.

The family that owns this is amazing and they make wonderful Italian food including traditional bakery items such pignoli cookies. I hope they will soon start serving pizza and focaccia. Please support them so you can experience a taste of Italy right here in Merritt Island and help them have a successful business!

The pastries are unbelievably authentic! They’re so delicious we’ve been going at least 3x a week and they’ve only been open since just before December’22. If you want fresh Italian bread, get there before 10am! The lunch sells out pretty fast too because it’s all made fresh everyday and they even import they’re raw ingredients directly from Sicily 😋

Excellent, delicious food! I've had the chicken marsala, a rice ball (my first one and it was awesome!), and their chocolate layer cake is out of this world...amazing!!! The backyard seating area is cozy, inviting, clean and comfortable. Super friendly staff too! If you're looking for authentic, delicious Sicilian food and baked treats, then don't miss out on this place.

I want this place to be great. Great bread and other foods. The cake I ordered looked amazing. But when I brought it home and later served it to my guests. I was very sad. The $40 cake was triple soaked in rum. The icing was the only thing holding it together. The inside was mush. I created a very nice dinner event with the cake as the primary dessert, but no. Into the trash it went. Other than the cannoli used as decoration..

Today I got to the restaurant at 11am looked around and decided to order lunch to go, well lunch isn't served until noon and breakfast was over at 11am. I went shopping came back ordered the meatballs and chicken parm to go. The meatballs were good not great the chicken parm had very little cheese on one piece and none on the other. Also they don't come with anything, no pasta no salad. I won't be going back. If you are going to this place, time it right the woman said there are other restaurants open during 11am and noon, I guess they don't need the business.

They advertise as a bakery but I have been there 6 times and they didn’t have any bread. It was suggested that I call first before i drive there. So I guess you need a appointment , like a doctors office. Also why no prices? Imagine going to a grocery store with no prices. Just doesn’t make any sense.

This is an authentic Italian bakery. Everything is absolutely delicious. I've looked for real Italian bread for years.
I recommend you try everything offered at this little bakery.

We can’t get over the fact that we live so close to the best Italian bakery we’ve been to in a very long time. Tastes like Europe in our own back yard.

We had a meatball sub and it rivaled the best I ever had. The canolis were equally awesome! We'll be returning for sure!
