Breakfast is amazing, Lunch is amazing. Cakes & pastries are amazing. All fresh ingredients lovingly prepared daily. Authentic Sicilian absolutely the BEST. Friendly family owned restaurant. I drive from Orlando. Highly recommend to visit often.

The croissant is far from the ordinary one you will get from a gas station, in taste and shape! It is super buttery and delicious plus the fact that they offer an EVERYTHING version is something I’ve never seen offered before! Definitely worth a stop!

Really neat vibe in the outdoor seating as well as inside. Authentic atmosphere. Absolutely a hidden gem I never knew existed! Amazing bakery, and a beast of an espresso machine to make coffee drinks. This new hole in the wall is now my #1 pick for a nice morning in all of Brevard.

Nice Cafe with a variety of Italian pastries. Also serves breakfast and lunch. Offers indoor and outdoor seating. Hidden in the shopping strip, but well worth it if you look for them

Big Boy Dining Out

Bella Sicilia Café, 85 East Merritt Avenue, Merritt Island, Florida, – 5-stars

The Bella Sicilia Café is a very well-hidden gem in Merritt Island. I had to drive around the parking lot three times to find it. Thank goodness I did. This welcome newcomer to the Brevard restaurant scene is officially on the Big Boy’s Must Try List. I guess my faith in Italian food has been restored. Faced with all the faux Italian fodder in Brevard that is just an Anglicization of il mangiare, this is refreshing.

Antonella Bonventre is the owner/operator of this beautiful ristorante siciliano serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner to hungry Space Coast denizens longing for the food that only mama used to make. Getting a meal from Bella Sicilia is to go back to a time when newly immigrated restaurant owners from the “Old Country” served up the authentic taste of Southern Italy.

Everything Bella Sicilia has to offer is lovingly made right on the premises. The menu changes every day with Antonella’s lunch specials created from scratch every morning. The day I visited, she was serving up a delicious sausage and potato entrée as well as a pasta and meatballs special. These hand-rolled diamonds were exquisite, and the accompanying penne pasta was cooked perfectly al dente.

Mmm…That’s Italian!

In the crystal-clear cases, Antonella presented a dazzling array of pies, cakes, pastries, cookies, cannoli, and napoleon. The parade of baked goods was endless, and I confess I tried every single one. Antonella can even whip up a custom creation for your event or special occasion if you call her in advance. For good measure, she also maintains a tiny grocery on the property.

The Big Boy says, “There is ZERO processed food at the Bella Sicilia Café. If there was a rating higher than 5-Stars, this place would get it!”

I am a Sicilian from New York and had Italian bakeries around every corner. After 20 years of living here we finally have an AMAZING Authentic Italian Cafe <3.... Having grown up with an Italian culture background, this is a Cafe you must try if you have a love for REAL Sicilian Italian food and pastries. I have found my piece of paradise here in Merritt Island.

After reading all the great reviews my husband and I were underwhelmed. First, there were was no menu or prices posted other than the lunch menu. No prices for pastries or coffee. We ordered two cappuccinos and two pastries and the total was $25.00. I thought that was outrageous. Second, we told the gentleman that waited on us that we were eating there and he still put our pastries in a box. The pastries were very crunchy just not are liking. The cappuccinos were good. My husband’s Italian and he so wanted to like the cafe, but it’s not for us at those prices.

Absolutely delicious Italian pastries. I’m so happy to have found this place! I had the cannoli, the cream puffs, the almond and chocolate almond horns, and everything was delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure!
