Great place and great coffee.
My first time visiting this morning and I just have looked lost, because the barista explained their menu and was very helpful. I got my coffee to go, but the atmosphere looks amazing and relaxing. I’ll have to order in next time.

Best Balkan coffee in the area

There is not enough space here to write a complete review. In a nutshell: a neighbourhood hangout with great coffee, cakes, wine and beer. Live dj performances every night. A massive expat crowd and an amazing ambiance. The place has great art hanging on the walls and the parking is free. More reviews to come..

Would be a lovely place except for the fact that EVERY TIME my girlfriend and I sit outside, several tables are occupied by people blasting music on their phones at full volume. Makes it completely impossible to enjoy the atmosphere, the coffee, or much of anything else.

The coffee was just ok and the espresso was pulled incorrectly. The lady at the front was kind of rude and difficult to understand and seemed annoyed when questioned about the menu

Great place to hang out and have a coffee or tea with friends with a little snack. Not a restaurant type of place, don't expect to come here for a full blown meal, which is 's why I personally like it.
Great selection of drinks and sweets. Great atmosphere!

Starbucks who???? Best everything. Cream Cheese Danish is like butter. Coffee perfect. Service is exceptional. The chillest atmosphere. Gonna be my regular spot.

This entire section of the strip mall in Deerwood seems to represent an enclave of European-owned establishments, and the vibe over at The Coffee Grinder will be very familiar if you've lived in or traveled The Continent. It smacks a bit of the cafe common areas attached to the hostels over there. You'll notice a very loyal set of regulars who frequent the place regularly, if not daily, and the prices, compared with many other independent coffee houses around Jax, are quite fair. Their baked goods, such as their cakes, are fresh and seem to be homemade made from scratch -both their Focaccia and Cuban sandwich offerings are similarly tasty! Perhaps what's best about this cafe, however, is that, unlike Starbucks, it is actually OPEN!

I went to the Coffee Grinder because of its stellar reviews and I needed a place to study. I didn't expect much from a hole-in-the-wall but wow I was wrong. The service was pleasant, the music was catchy and the drinks were affordable. The coffee is served in real mugs which is a nice touch. I will definitely be back

I was very excited about this place when Google Explore suggested it. My main issue is with customer service. While the employees strive to offer professional and friendly service, the owner can be disrespectful at times. I feel like the owner doesn’t take seriously certain types of customers, even though I ALWAYS tip according to the amount of money I spend. I aim to support local businesses, but I find that the drawback to smaller mom and pops shops is that they can be inconsistent either in quality of products, logistics, and/or service. When something happens, there are no proper channels to address issues, as opposed to a corporate chain where they often have a 1-800 number available for customers. Although the coffee does taste good, the lack of consistency in customer service bothers me. I have a demanding job in IT. When I go to a coffee shop I want to leave relaxed not pissed off because of poor service, especially when provided by the owner. I’ve been coming here almost daily for 2 months, but I won’t be back. I am disappointed.
