Southern Grounds Coffee

Was in the Jax airport and wanted a bagel and cream cheese. First of all, they had like 4 workers and talking and laughing super loud to each other. I'm standing at the register with a water ready to order and they just stared at me. I said hi and one girl just rung up my water without saying anything or asked if I needed anything else. I asked for a bagel double toasted with extra cream cheese and a salted caramel cookie. Waited 10 min and nothing. They all continued to joke with each other. Finally my bagel was called out and I took my bag. My cookie wasn't in the bag so I had to ask for that. No smile or have a good day or anything. I went to eat my bagel and it was barely toasted and only had maybe 1 tablespoon of cream cheese. I was not happy or impressed. Save your money and time

Southern Grounds atmosphere, coffee and food are amazing! The device is always friendly, delivered with that southern charm that makes you feel like you’re home! Coffee and foid are always fresh and delicious. I love supporting our local Jacksonville brand. Go SoGro!

Welcome sight to see after traveling. Everything looked clean and fresh and staff on point. Some friendlier than others. No one was rude or unpleasant…I just took it as busy life and everyday stress. As soon as I smiled and said hello, it was graciously reciprocated. Sometimes that’s all anyone needs. Very happy about this location!

The Best Avocado Toast Ever!!

This place had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was waiting for over 15 minutes while my other friends got their order when they ordered after me.

I had to come up and ask about my order (which is fine), but that interaction was not appropriate for anyone.

Me: “hey I just wanted to check in on my order”
Her: “oh I made that a while ago. Someone else must have taken it”

She paused as if she was saying, “oh well you’re SOL”

Me: “oh okay? I still don’t have my order though…”
Her: “I can remake it” *with some attitude*

She proceeds to make it, and hands it to me with no apology about me missing my order owns just gives me more attitude.

And then hands the croissant I ordered. I said nothing since she said nothing, and then she yells sarcastically “have a nice day”

If this is the type of behavior people are experiencing when they first get off or on a plane, that would be a great impression of Jacksonville.

Very friendly staff. Many options to choose from for breakfast, can get you bagel toasted ... variety of flavored coffees and multiple choices for milk options (not all are cow). Best place for coffee in terminal A

Location: Gate A4. Friendly service. I ordered the French Toast Crunch and the Salmon Toast. All hot drinks were served reasonably fast with high volume of customers.

Lox sandwich was really good. They had outlets all around which was nice. No USB ports though, just regular plugs.

Good quick local spot.

Southern Grounds & Co is a great place to get healthy food and great beverages!! It's in the Delta Terminal and is worth the walk! Go for local every time!
