An overall good coffee shop. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is perfect to study in with large tables with outlets. You can mix a variety of flavored syrups in your latte which makes a huge difference!

We were in J’ville recently to meet with friends and happened upon this friendly coffee shop in Springfield. Had my first go at a ‘pour over’ Ethiopian coffee and Jason was happy to talk with us through the whole process. He was super knowledgeable and personable. Great service, good conversation and awesome coffee! Will definitely be back when we get to visit again.

I am so glad that Springfield has a unique coffeehouse in our neighborhood. Veteran owned and procured speacialty coffees from around the world. Fresh...made to order drinks prepared by talented folks who know what they are doing.

They offer some sweet things to go with your coffee.

The staff is friendly and caring . The place is clean and the music pleasant.

My go-to place to read and socialize with neighbors. Soon, they will have sidewalk seating with tables. (we will be able to enjoy cigars again!)

Incredible product. Espresso is expertly poured and rivals that of local Bold Bean and Urban Bean. They have some tasty treats, wide variety of drinks, gluten free options, and convenient parking. I also appreciated the outlets near the tables a lot. Staff was also observant and non-intrusive. I'll be back here... A LOT.

I just discovered this awesome little spot while I was training for a new position at work. I've come about 5 times in the last 2 weeks when time allows for a quick walk across the street or a stop before work. Everything is fresh brewed by the cup and the pastries are equally as good. Every time I've walked in they call me by name and Sergi is great at what he does. He's made every single drink I've gotten. I also had the immense pleasure of meeting the owner and being able to have a conversation with him was amazing. I found so many small connections between his world and mine AND it was great to see a business owner so involved in the day to day operations. This tiny little coffee shop on main street in Jacksonville will blow your mind and really stands up for what their name promises. If you're ever travelling down main and decide you want a coffee stop at Social Grounds, make a friend while you wait for your drink. You won't be disappointed!

Today was my 1st time in this shop and the coffee is excellent. The cinnamon roll was very good but most of all, the welcoming attitude from the staff was the best.

Good coffee and cinnamon roll, and the staff were super friendly :)

Veteran owned, with a social justice mission, and terrific coffee. Smooth and well-brewed. Also some luscious treats. The cinnamon roll was perfect...enough icing but not overly sweet.

This coffee shop is nothing short of fabulous. The coffee is amazing and the pastries are delicious. The best part about this coffee shop is the story behind it. Stop in and chat with Jason, the owner, his hard work and dedication to the community and our veterans is something very special.
