Flying Biscuit Cafe - Gainesville, FL

I travel for biscuits and the biscuit was awesome. Each meal is accompanied with one. The unexpected highlight was the amazing shrimp and crab omelette(I substituted egg whites for an additional $0.75 and fruit instead of grits for no charge). The wait was 45 minutes for large parties(Sunday 10 am). Fortunately I was able to snag a seat at the bar which is first come first serve. Nice restrooms in the back with 2 stalls.

The food is really fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is a little loud, but cute. Just can't really have a good conversation.

Food was okay. Service was good. Nothing exciting or different about the establishment. It was a normal breakfast dish kind of place!

I never even ordered. The entire restaurant smells like a gym and the smell was overwhelming, I wanted to gag. I was seated but became too scared to try the food, didn't even stay long enough to order a drink. I couldn't even smell the food inside the restaurant. Very worrisome for a place loved by so many.

Went there on a Sunday, so the wait was about 45 minutes. But the food, coffee, and service were all great. I’m from New England, so I don’t care for the style of biscuit (ours are more dry and crumbly) but I assume that’s a regional preference and don’t blame the restaurant for my biscuit style. Pictured is the veggie scramble and it was delicious. I loved the grits but not being southern, I’ve only ever had grits a handful of times before. These were the best I’ve had yet though! They were creamy and almost had a cheesy taste.

First time there, and it won't be my last time. I got the grits bowl. It was awesome. Best iv ever had

This place has amazing food. The service and atmosphere are always great here. The prices are fair but they are always overcrowded, so plan on waiting 30 minutes to find a seat. They need to open up a 2nd location in Gainesville.

DELICIOUS!!! I don't know the words to express how fantastic our food was. The southern Benedict biscuits...out of this world flavorful. The grits were amazing. My children raved about their pancake and French toast. It was fast, it was clean, service was friendly. I am so glad I stopped here this morning!

This is the best biscuit I’ve ever had! We waited 45 minutes just to be seated and it was well worth the wait. Great staff and delicious food!!

This place is awesome! Best grits I’ve ever had! Everything is fresh and delicious. You have to try the fall flavored jelly!
