Horse Power Pavilion

After reserving my opinion on this establishment for a few years, Google actually asked me for a review of it. I planned to leave it at a mediocre 3 stars with no comment but since the owner seems intrigued as if no comment is uncommon or an attack, I will oblige with her interest and explain in depth....

I have been here a total of 4 times. Satisfied once... with coffee. I tried going back twice after the first time bc the coffee was good... back then it seemed there was no rhyme or reason to the open/close schedule. After making the trek over to support a local business on 2 separate mornings- they were closed during hours they were previously open the prior weeks. Not cool. Second time I was served cold breakfast. 3rd time we got 4 burgers and wings. I felt I spent way too much on these burgers and wings only to be told after we ordered and were served that they had no ketchup. Unacceptable. This should have been disclosed prior, we would have ordered something else or left, if it was. We took our burgers home and ate them cold there, with ketchup. 4th time I stopped by for the fish and chips which I heard was the best thing on the menu, it was luke warm and came with a toddler portion of fries. Meh. All in all. The place is mediocre at best in my opinion.

I gave the 3 stars bc the atmosphere is rockin and the owner is very present and has donated her own time, land, and energy to the local community and kids. Unfortunately those few things don't make up for the not quite put all the way together business establishment. My family and I have been here for decades and don't plan to leave anytime soon. I wish this owner and business the best of luck, I'm sure we will be back once they get their footing and can be consistent with hours and food.

Amazing! The food was so fresh, homemade and delicious. The owners came and talked to us. Wonderful people! I wish them so much success! We will be there to support them as much as possible! If you have not given them a try then you are truly missing out!

The food, the atmosphere and the service was spectacular!!! Best thing happening around here for sure. We've been to other places but not as good as the fish (cod) we got and chips. The dark beer was an added surprise and now for the best drink...(wish I had a drum roll) be sure to try the bloody Mary, talk about a wonderful taste. We will sure return!!!

Finally a local spot in Freeport!!

We have been waiting for so long, finally Kate has delivered as promised; a place for us locals, to come to hangout with our families (yes, this gem is kids friendly) and friends, have good food, drinks and even live entertainment occasionally.
This place is family owned and operated, the service is great, so as is their food, fair prices and parking will never be a problem.
Don’t hesitate on giving this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Service was pretty good and this place has a good atmosphere. The bad, was the food and prices. We had undercooked ribs(super hard) and cold sides and a cold bacon cheese burger. A few drinks and the food pretty much topped over $100(gratuity included). We really hope this place gets better because the service and people working there were really nice.

We love horse power pavillion, they have bands on Friday or Saturday nights an other special events. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and always good. This is an outdoor location. Special people and locally owned
