Peter's German Ice Cream & Coffee Shop

The new owners are quite nice, but I am saddened that the charm and cozy feeling has been lost. I loved coming here a few times a week just to get out of the house to get some work done and for some fresh air. The quaint ambiance of the old coffee house offered just enough to make you feel like you could sit, relax, and day dream for a few minutes too. It was the quintessential coffee shop. Not too fancy, not too dull, and loads of old school charm. I loved coming here with friends for a drink. The new store has a sterile feel, and the red and silver is a bit jarring but maybe with time it will grow on you. I wish the new owners nothing but the best. It seems as though we have lost a one of a kind coffeehouse.

Soooo yummy! I went for the first time and the coffee was delicious; I also got a piece of apple cake and it was amazing. The lady who was there (I think she was the owner) was so nice and helpful! It was such a cute little place.

As we're visiting from Germany, my father decided to bring us here for some ice cream and coffee,. A nice little new shop with fresh ice cream and good coffee! The owners are very friendly and their location is in a nice spot in downtown Ft. Myers. Can highly recommend!

Today was my first visit since the new owners took over and I am very pleased with the service, food and coffee. The strawberry cake and cheesecake were both light, fluffy and delicious. The dark roast coffee is great. I will definitely visit again. I'm looking forward to trying the gelato. I think it's great they use biodegradable bags and non-styrofoam food containers.

You get a decent amount of options for vegans and non-vegans alike. Would definitely come back.

I want this place to be 100x busier because it is so much better than the other places along First St. The owners are so friendly and gracious.
Not sure what is the secret, but the texture of this ice cream is so fluffy and luxurious. The have delicious egg free and dairy free flavors, homemade pastries...even special flavors for dogs!

The best ice Cream EVER!! Staff offered thoughts on the best flavors to mix; I had a strawberry rhubarb shake. Cute and clean decor, Locally owned. Go out and support these gang!!

We found this cozy quaint coffee and ice cream shop while strolling in the river district. The owners are from Germany; they are kind and very sweet. They recently moved and transformed this place. They bake and make ice cream in authentic German and European styles. We had a Stracciatella Italian ice cream on owner's recommendation; it was delicious and quite different. Unlike other ice creams where you only taste fat and sugar, with this you could also taste the authentic flavor. I wish we could visit again sometime to try their other baked items.
