The fresh donuts were awesome. The chicken & waffle, b&g and shrimp & grits were good but the French toast was blah. Still a great place to go for a good fresh breakfast.

This is the place for breakfast.
Shrimp & grits!
This is also where to find fishing tackle or charter a boat.

Super cozy tent. Friendly service, delicious food. The breakfast is special, extensive and fresh.

Loved this cute cafe/convenience store/fishing company and their kind staff. We had a really nice breakfast and were able to sit at picnic tables away from the entrance so we felt it was easy to stay covid safe. About 50% mask wearing when we were there but the staff you interact with all wear them and they have a sign instructing people to wear them too. Highly recommend!

Heard about this place from a local. Chef Clay was so welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. The shrimp Poboy was the best I have ever eaten. The fries were fresh cut and portion sizes were bountiful. Clay came over and talked with us. He even cooked up some of his ricotta doughnuts that melted in our mouths. He not only is an amazing chef but so personable. Inside the marathon gas station, you want to make sure you stop in for the food.

We stopped here on our way out of Everglades City and were blown away by the quality of food at a gas station. They apparently just opened, but the chef has clearly been cooking a long time. The Eggs Benedict are MASSIVE and entirely scratch made. You can get several variations - I’m sure they’re all fantastic. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was perfectly cooked (the waffles were a bit dense for my liking though). Great steak and eggs (but again, get the steak and eggs benedict instead if you’re at all inclined instead).
And definitely add some ricotta donuts and a sticky bun to your order to share. They’re perfect with the very solid coffee they brew up here.

Nely’s Cafe is an adorable and charming place! The service was fantastic and the breakfast was also excellent. We did not expect such a treat as the restaurant was tucked away in the corner of a store. We were very pleasantly surprised and highly recommend this cafe!

OMG, I LOVE this family owned business. The entire fam, is hilarious, loving and extremely nice. The food is SPECTACULAR, homestyle fries cut daily and if you're lucky you can try their smoked, maple glazed bacon, which is mouth drooling!
Hey guys, thanks for your hospitality, miss you already : )
Plus, you can even gas up, buy bait, and tackle; they have an incredible selection of fishing apparel and a vast array of high-end sunglasses!

Went to Nely's twice. Disappointed both times. Ordered brisket sandwich on first try... it was ok but the Chipotle mayonnaise was over powering and the meat was chewy. The next time decided to go for breakfast... the pancakes turned out to be cinnamon pancakes... was not what I was expecting! The butter was margarine??? I questioned that and was told "thats real butter!!??????". I also ordered Gritz... the gritz had cheese sauce added to it, I guess cheese whiz???? The only saving grace was we were not charged??

Easily the best breakfast in Everglades City. Excellent, simple coffee menu that could just as easily be at home in an Italian cafe, and deceptively well-crafted food.
