Oh my! What a fabulous dinner we had when we visited Captain Morgan's Seafood Grill. You are met with a light airy beachy vibe upon entering. This restaurant is really quite stunning as they took time to put thought into each and every detail. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. She was so welcoming and friendly. We had a few questions about the items on the menu and she took the time to patiently answer our questions. We started with the Mermaid Shrimp Ceviche as recommended and it was amazing. I asked a few questions about the Enchilado plates, not to be confused with Enchiladas. The Enchilado plates include seafood in a Cuban red sauce with a variety of peppers and olives. I was intrigued as I've never had an Enchilado plate before. We ordered the Wild Shrimp Enchilado Plate and the Sailor Baked Whole Red Snapper both entrees are served with Black Beans, White Rice, and Sweet Plantains. We were informed that the Snapper would take approximately 20 minutes to cook, which was no problem at all as we were not in any hurry. I can say that it was worth the brief wait for this amazing food! Let me tell you if you have never had an Enchilado plate you should find one and the place is at Captain Morgan's. It was bursting with flavor down to the black beans. I'm not sure how you make black beans taste so amazing but they have it figured out! The Whole Red Snapper was cooked to perfection, delicate and tender. We finished our meal with a Captain's Signature Cuban Rum Flan which was phenomenal. This restaurant is top notch and I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Everglades. What I mean is take a trip to the Everglades to dine at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Came upon this quaint restaurant after an airboat tour in the Everglades. The owner, Maggie, was our server.
She was helpful & sweet. Lots of great outdoor seating & the inside was very clean & inviting. The menu had good options for a snack, lunch or something more substantial. I had the fresh fish sandwich with tasty coated fries. Food was hot & service quick.

I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant! We loved the shrimp tostones and the grouper sandwich- literally the best grouper sandwich I’ve ever had. Maggie was so kind and considerate, and her recommendations were on point. I am counting down the days until we come
back to Everglades City, and when we do this is the first restaurant we will go to!

Stumbled upon the town’s newest local spot after they had already closed for the night, and the owners, Morgan (he is also the chef!) and Magy (she is Morgan’s wife!) who fully operate the restaurant together, insisted on inviting me and my boyfriend inside where they then prepared us the couple of steaks they had left (the most delicious steak palomilla with white rice and sweet plantains!!), poured us some drinks and sat and talked the night away with us. They were so friendly and welcoming, we felt like locals! There is a little ice cream shop within the restaurant that’s adorable and a separate room for the salad bar. The place is beautiful and one of a kind, with the sweetest owners and most delicious palomilla 😋

We were lucky to stumble across this brand new restaurant on its opening day last Friday night. My husband and I both enjoyed delicious dinners out on their porch. Plenty of seating both indoors and out, and friendly helpful servers. I had the wild shrimp enchilado (NOT to be confused with an enchilada, this is shrimp in a flavorful but not hot spicy tomato based sauce) and my husband had a whole baked red snapper. Both were served with beans and rice, and sweet plantains. They also have a ice cream and coffee shop in a separate room accessed from the porch. Check it out!

Oh my gosh! They have the best Cuban coffee! The lunch was great. Shrimp serviche was fresh and delicious. I had the Captain’s rum flan for dessert and it was one of the best flans I have ever eaten and I’ve eaten many!

I was in town taking my 87 year old Grandfather on a fishing trip. We got into town a little late, after a successful day of fishing. Looking for some dinner, we found that most restaurants in Everglades City were closed, or just about to close. This restaurant seemed to be open, so we stopped in. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, even after sitting down and realizing that we were the only customers and that we were being served when they were supposed to be closing! We had amazing service from Heather, who put up with my cantankerous and uncouth Grandfather and made sure that all of our needs were met. Also, the entire staff was awesome, and the pork sandwich and steak were amazing.
Thank you to the staff and cooks for staying open to feed a couple of hungry fishermen! Good luck in your new venture and we hope your new business is successful!
