The staff was fabulous kind of like a mom-and-pop type restaurant had been there before but a few years ago excellent service I had a outstanding croissant with egg and sausage and cheese yes you can get this at McDonald's but it never tasted like home which as I said being similar to a mom-and-pop type place it lives up to its reputation thank you I enjoyed every bite and the coffee knocked my socks off thank goodness I wasn't wearing any however that's not a bad thing it was great! If you have not had the pleasure of being here please try it, it's worth it the prices are reasonable quite frankly McDonald's is more expensive just saying I suggest you to try this gem sincerely Mary Lou Corson thank you everyone who was so kind and happy!

This place is everything a small hometown diner should be. But it's in the city. Nestled in a strip mall by 3rd & Nova in Daytona/Holly Hill. Just a small friendly tasty morning cafe & brunch spot. Completely relaxing, very clean, well kept. Perfect place to start you day, or end your night with a yummy homemade style breakfast.

Good food, nice clean place except for the carpet. Even the ceiling and the air vents looked clean. Employees could have been a little friendlier or tried to make you feel welcome but started to smile after a while. All in all a good place with nice folks. This was our first time and you can’t judge a place on one visit. We will definitely be back again.

Great place for a great breakfast!

Been coming here for many many years. Great food and nice atmosphere. Today i brought a friend in with me but when the waitress took our order, i was told what i had asked for requested was not an option and never had been in the 20 years she had worked here. Very condescending attitude! Then I could hear her talking about it with her co-workers. When she served theorder her disposition was like we were a bother to her. She never returned to the table to check in.
VERY DISAPPOINTED AND THIS IS THE SECOND SUB PAR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS WAITRESS!!

This is my favorite place for breakfast ever! The food is fantastic, freshly prepared, economical, clean and the staff very friendly and quick to meet all your needs. I frequent this place at least 3-4 times a week and always feel at home there. I love the country breakfast especially the mess and the harvest time one. I always bring friends and family there and highly recommend anyone who wants a great down home breakfast or lunch.

Great food at reasonable prices!

I heard about this place because my husband has been going to this restaurant for a while and has been talking about it since the first time he tried The Mess there. He was very excited to take me there today and I can see why he loves it. I have to say, this restaurant is really charming and cute inside although it is small and doesn't seem like it could seat too many people at one time. My husband says he has seen it crowded at certain times of day but it wasn't too busy when we went in around lunch time today. Although I couldn't be certain of it, maybe it was because it was Saturday and people usually come in for their lunch break during the week. The staff that helped us were kind. I'm normally not very into breakfast foods but I had the chocolate chip pancakes and they were so good. Our food was done reasonably fast as well. You really can't beat the price for the amount of food we ordered and it was much more delicious than we would have gotten from restaurants nearby at that price point. I'm excited to go back and try something else!

I have been a customer for years. Delicious food!

One waitress for the entire dining area. Was not very friendly. Coffee was horrible and watery. I actually saw her open the basket, close it against and rebrew the same grounds into another pot which explains why it was so bad. I did have the gravy for breakfast and I will admit that was very good. But the service was definitely lacking and the server was not friendly. It could be because she was overwhelmed and needed some help.
