This quaint coffee and wine house is the kind of place you might initially stop by out of curiosity. Yet, it is the amazing staff, wonderfully roasted coffee, and unexpected atmosphere that will keep you coming back. I'm personally a fan of their iced coffee and decaf lattes but there is far more to explore here!

Extremely dainty (w/ fuschia colored napkins) yet accessible quick breakfast spot which is a few steps away from Washington Court Hotel). Both inviting and calming. The buns seem fresh and cold brew is 'perfecto' - not too strong, not too weak. Blocks away from the capital. We dropped by during the MOW 2020 for a quick bite and it really hit the spot. It feels great to patronize a spot which is eco-friendly and conscious. They won us over with the paper straws. After all, every little bit helps the environment. In short, if you're seeking a cozy spot w/ savory bites and sips, then this is it!

$1.50 up-charge for oat milk, ouch! Staff not clear on the menu and took our order wrong. Latte was bland. The pão de queijo was strange, very oily — I think they’re using an unusual flour and a cheese that’s not sharp enough. Wouldn’t repeat.

Very original creations... comfort foods like banana bread, Smoothies, Pasta, Oatmeal, French Toast, plus open face sandwiches. Coffee, Wine & other beverages.

The coffee's very mediocre, and they make a terrible cappuccino. The selection of baked goods is pretty sad, and the muffins, at least, are really bland. The baristas we're quite nice the couple times I was there, though they seemed terribly unorganized. As for the atmosphere... It's as bland as their muffins.

Very cute coffee/wine shop. There was just one staff member there, and she was very courteous and welcoming. The wine we chose was great, ambience perfect, bathrooms really nice too. If you are looking for a low-key place with beautiful decor, The Ministry is the place.

Beautiful spot in the middle of everything. Just steps from the capital. Woman owned. Great attention to detail. Awesome spot for breakfast or lunch.

Great service. The drinks were fine, but nothing exceptional. It was a decent place to work in the afternoon.

Easily my favorite cafe in DC! The staff and management are wonderful, the food is delicious (avocado toast fans unite!), but most of all you have to try the cold brew. Even during the pandemic, I would make the trek across town just to get my cold brew fix. 10/10 would recommend!

I've never been to this location before & after my experience today I will not be coming back. I ordered an obscenely overpriced tomato soup and grilled cheese (mind you I have no problem spending money on GOOD food)
The soup was straight up NOT good. it had absolutely no flavor.
The grilled cheese was so buttery, my fingers looked like they had been dipped in a cup of grease... But worse of all, the experience was very UNPLEASANT. I was the only customer when I was ordering, yet the cashier insisted I showed them my vaccination card to dine in. Although the cashier was nice, the owner was very cold and abrasive, it really took me off guard. After ordering I really wanted to just cancel the order and leave.. but I wanted to give this spot a chance since the google reviews seemed decent and I work next door.... However I should've listened to my gut feeling. I honestly think most of these reviews are fake tbh.. NEVER COMING BACK.
