Excellent coffee! The barista was nice too. Wonderful little gem.

Janti Cafe opened six months ago just south of Observatory Circle next door to Cafe Divan. It's a small Turkish cafe and market. The first floor is a little cafe selling pastries (sweet and savory), coffee, and grab-and-go items like juice, milk, and other items. The second floor is a Turkish market selling all sorts of Turkish items from sweets to noodles to coffee.

I ordered a chocolate pastry and a beef pastry, both very good!

Janti is awesome! Definitely my go-to coffee in DC. The coffee is amazing, but the friendly owner/manager and cool Turkish market are what make it so special. Makes my day better every time I go!

Absolutely a life saver for those of us who cook/bake Turkish food on a regular basis! The owners are kind, polite and meticulous in every way. It has been a joy to shop here for kitchen staples.

I absolutely looove this place!! Amazing staff great food and delicious coffee. Such a cute coffee/Turkish market place in Georgetown. They have cold appetizers to go and variety selection of bakery. Most importantly they have SIMIT!! Go try them out you won't regret it!! Also they have great breakfast options too which is awesome!

Pastrami toast is my favorite and also the feta/meat pastry, chocolate croissant, and caramel macchiato. The groceries upstairs are great with a lot of special authentic finds! A very charming cafe.

A very nice cozy cafe, where I enjoy both Turkish coffee and tea. Selection of sweet and savory snacks are great, including my fave cheese toast (Turkish panini). In-house market has a rich selection with very reasonable prices.

I was biking in Georgetown and saw this place. The person at the counter is very friendly, best coffee place in DC. I love history and coffee, and this place reminds me of Turkey, the cafe Janti means Rich and Lavish! Ask the person how to make the coffee he will give details and trust me this is the place you will experience the diversity of coffee.

Wonderful independent coffee shop with great staff and strong coffee

I work around the corner, and since Dec. or Jan. this has been my go-to place for coffee. I also often get a spinach burek and cheese burek for a light lunch (pastries similar to Greek spanakopita with spinach or tyropita with cheese). They also have some awesome other savory pastries whose names I don't remember.
Upstairs the grocery has awesome Turkish olives and many other treats.
