I’ve been a loyal patron here since the start and it’s, by far, the favorite go-to place of mine in the Hartford area. The staff is great, the baked goods are unreal (including vegan/gluten free) and are all baked on-site. Recently, the owners began roasting and packaging their own beans.. I have to say, the coffee has been terrific! It’s smooth, and to me, less bitter than the beans they had been purchasing prior (which weren’t bad, but when you prefer more balance, the current coffee hits the mark). It is also a very large space with back parking and picnic tables (including an awning) so you can enjoy your coffee outdoors in the nice weather. Can’t say enough… I recommend this place all the time! Support small businesses- they are what creates the neighborhood feel of any town! :)

A+ coffee house. Always a pleasant experience here whether an order is placed online or in-person. They offer a wide variety of coffee combinations, have delectable food and baked-good gluten free offerings.

In addition, Silk City roasts their own beans, so try to pick up a bag on the way out. You won’t be disappointed.

They offer free wifi & have outdoor/indoor seating. Lovely ambiance as well. This place is a treat that you will enjoy.

Lovely local spot with delicious biscuits. Get the biscuits! The food was a bit pricey but good. The coffee is great too bit more acidic if you're into that. Cute interior with plenty of space. Huge line after 10am on a Saturday so arrive early!

I always stop when I see a coffee shop, and I'm glad I stopped here. The atmosphere is super inviting and relaxed. I ordered a caramel latte and a slice of pumpkin bread. Both were delicious! I will definitely be visiting again.

Stopped here for a coffee break . There are good fall drink options here which I saw after I placed my order of cappuccino. They have standard cup size which is good.
They also have snack options but since it was closing time almost everything was over. Nice and cozy place to hang out.

Good coffee and phenomenal baked goods. While the coffee didn't overly impress me, I'm loving the cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich (Saturday Special). If you go here then put those two things on your must try list.

Silk city Coffee is a pretty decent size café in downtown Manchester. The café has a simple drink and lunch menu and doesn't exceed more than 15 items each.

The cafes atmosphere is inviting with a decent crowd that included couples, friends, coworkers, people working, people doing take out and us.

The place has good ambience and I love the exposed brick and an open and simple floor plan. The café was decorated for holiday season and green Christmas tree adds color to the rustic feel. My wife said that the Cortado was decent and she has had better. However, the service was great!

First time here and I will definitly be coming back as much as I can! Tons of places to sit and free wifi + outlets makes it the perfect place to study or work. The food was amazing! I got a Chipotle sandwich which is essentially a bacon egg and cheese with Chipotle sauce for breakfast and later I got a strawberry iced tea and gluten free cookie! I ate most of the cookie before I snapped a pic it was so delicious! Tons of vegetarian and gluten free options, and I did see a vegan donut as well!

Silk City Coffee is a local gem that I love returning to all the time to get work done and enjoy a nice coffee & the occasional baked goodie. The staff have always been super chill and when you're here, you feel like you're part of a community. Love how it offers fun seasonal drinks, a community board, and local fundraisers you can help support. Shout out to some awesome staff I've had the pleasure of meeting- Peter, Jeremy, Caleb, Sarah. Keep up the great work team !

I came across this place on Google Maps and it seemed nice. Finally getting there, it was. It can be a crowded cafe. There's a mocha muffin/cupcake thing that's pretty freaking good. Coffee wasn't that bad. I wish they returned to the pour over. So a solid 4 for me. Regardless, I'd still return.
