Amazing, helpful staff and great food. If I could give this place a thousand stars, I would. On a road trip, my 5 year old son felt ill and (disclaimer, carsick story coming) he threw up in the entry way to Mountainside Cafe. He was mortified and we walked back out to the car. An amazing server came outside to us, and handed us a bottle of water, and told us not to worry. She took our order and brought it out to us, and included a complimentary serving of fruit for my son. She also wrote a sweet note to him wishing him to feel better. We will certainly go back here on our way past. The food was also delicious, we had a fabulous burger and great chicken strips.

We found this place by chance and have eaten there several times. The food is extra fresh so that you can really taste the difference. Service is good. Breakfast and lunch are great. We haven't tried dinner yet which is served only on weekends.

I ate here during my Appalachian trail thru-hike. The staff was very friendly. The place was fairly busy and clearly visited frequently by locals, (which is always a good sign). I started out with a wonderful salad which had spinach and lots of scrumptious blueberries and blue cheese. The portion sizes were good. As I'm burning up lots of calories, I also had a buffalo chicken sandwich and fries (which were also savory). I finished up with an ice cream sandwich which was handmade. If I lived closer, I would certainly come again.

We went to Mountain Cafe for breakfast and was very disappointed in the way they handle problems. I had ordered a special of steak and eggs and the waiter took our order and never asked us how we would like the steak or eggs cooked. It also had a citrus pesto sauce. I had to go find the waiter to tell him we wanted our steak rear and eggs over easy. The food came and the eggs were well done and the food was covered in this citrus pesto sauce. I called the waiter over and told him that there was way to much sauce on the eggs and steak and the eggs were well done. He then choose to ignore us for about 20 minutes. Later got the manager and he was also of little help. he said he took it off the bill but never offered to fix or get us something else. We still had not eaten. I feel a manager and waiter should want to help there customers especially if the Chief and waiter got the order totally wrong. We would not go back to this restaurant again.

Nice cozy place with good food and dent service. Nice array of gluten free choices (bread for burgers and GF pancakes). Prices were good too. Great stop before or after the race at Lime Rock Park.

Very nice spot with good food and snacks/pastries with interesting gluten free options (Heath bar brownie/cookie and pumpkin/white chocolate muffin when we stopped in were GF). Friendly staff and solid coffee (think "Buckstars" but with way more charm). Only gripe would be a little on the pricey side, but it's inline with the area. The outside is clean and understated, while the interior is bright with a great dining layout. Would definitely go back 👍

Drove a hour from my home for lunch and it was worth every mile! Food was clean, fresh, and the atmosphere was great! The chef and his menu is incredible. I advise anyone to go out of their way to check this place out.

This past Saturday we stopped in the Mountainside Cafe for brunch based upon the recommendation of a local fellow. We could not have been more pleased with our decision. The warm welcome, interesting menu options, menu advice and very friendly service provided directly by Sarah, Jessie and Dorian led to a delicious lunch. Selections included the House Roast Turkey Sandwich, two Gorgonzola Burgers and a brunch special Skillet dish accompied by a Root Beer Float and a couple of Black & White Milkshakes prepared right before us with high quality ingredients all sourced locally. The brunch was followed by a selection of onsite freshly baked cookies and a Magic Bar (Wow!!!). Our compliments to Andy (Head Chef), Reed (Sous Chef), the pastry chef (??) and the rest of the kitchen staff for preparing such a tasty lunch which received high accolades from us all. We appreciated being treated so well with the warm welcome, the solid menu advice and all the smiles. We observed that the staff was equally as attentive to the other diners as they were to us. We recommend a visit, especially if you are hungry or for a mid-afternoon snack, when in the Falls Village area!

Stop at this quaint little place for breakfast on our way to VT. Farm fresh food that was prepared perfectly. My husband had eggs with apple smoke bacon. Best bacon we ever tasted..cooked just right and not at all salty...

Tucked into the side of the road and very unpretentious. Booths and tables inside with comfy seating and no crowding. Then there is the menue......yummy. Also hear they do a fantabulous Sunday brunch. Wonderful staff who aplologized that the Valentine crowd had eaten them out of all yummy desserts but one, so we had to "settle" for the flourless chocolate torte. Rich and smooth. I'll meet my friends there again even if it is a 90 min. drive for me.
