The coffee was excellent, and the ice cream even better. The service is excellent, they even make a custom ice coffee for us.

Another strikeout on breakfast in Ouray. Walk up, served at the door orders only. No problem. There were 5 groups in front of us. We get in line and wait. And wait. And wait. After 35 minutes and only 5 people getting their orders we decided to leave and wait for the other restaurants to open for lunch. Had a granola bar and made coffee in our hotel room.

Breakfast sandwich was delicious, croissants are perfect. Quick service. Not too pricey. Good coffee too!

Artisan has the best tasting coffee and the least expensive breakfast and lunch in Ouray, Colorado. Some reviewers are not impressed with Trevor's straight delivery and dry sense of humor. I guess I can understand. Regardless, everything here is fresh, delicious, and made to order. We are lucky to have this local bakery in this mountain town.

I’m so happy this bakery has great food and requires customers to wear masks. They clearly care about their fellow community members, and, at the very least, are being supportive citizens by respecting the Colorado state and CDC’s guidelines for preventing the spread of this awful disease in their own community. Bravo!

Great latte. Good portion in my breakfast wrap. Service is kind of slow, but we were not in a rush... Just enjoying our morning before a trail ride. Nice staff.

Five stars for the products. Two stars for the service. The guy at the register needs a lesson on customer relations. A simple thank you would be nice. I asked if they had decaf coffee. He said I don't do decaf. Stone silence after ordering/paying. The gal that also waits on you is friendly.

Not sure if it was a bad day or what but the service and food??? Well let’s go back and start from the beginning. It was March 22, 2013 approx 11:30 am. We had checked out and were ready to head home but wanted something for breakfast. We went into town and decided to try this cute (from the outside) bakery (actually the only bakery in town) we had seen a few days before. We parked in front and ventured in. . . To our surprise the inside was not as sweet as the outside made it appear. Other stores and shops that we had visited during our stay amazed us with originality, design and just plain ol’ hospitality. This location lacked all the above.
First off I never judge a book by its cover. And I will go back when I visit again to see if they were just off season. We walked into an empty parlor and were greeted by a not so welcomed attitude. The waiter /cashier seemed miffed that we took our time reading the menu and asking questions with regards to the food and drink.
Secondly the name Artisan in itself means ART. Right? Bakery means pastries and fresh breads. Right?? Well this place had none of the above. A few cinnamon rolls and a sheet cake that was pumpkin that had a glob of white frosting on each square. Ok off season???? We ordered two croissant breakfast sandwiches with no meat and a coffee drink to go. The whole thing came to approx 16.00. The prep was fast I have to give them thumbs up on that, but again we were the only customers for the first 10 minutes or so.
The coffee drink was not worth the $5.00 they charged. It was small and you could not taste the special flavor that was added. That was the first rip-off we felt. The second was the food. The croissants were burnt on the top and the sandwich was tasteless…. Had we not been out of town I would have taken it all back and asked for my money back. Chef Ramsey would have sent the cook home !!!!! Very disappointed. I have gotten better breakfast sandwiches at fast food restaurants and roach coaches for half the price they charged.
Like I said, I never judge a book by its cover or hopefully in this case it is off season. And I will go back when I visit again to see if they were just having a bad bakery day or off season blues. Hopefully at that time they will prove to be a real Artisan Bakery and hold to their name. As far as today. Thumbs down. I saw a sign while there that said it was the Best Pizza in town… well maybe they should stick to that part of baking and change the name to Artisan Pizza Parlor…. Then the decor would fit the name. Just saying!

Had a delicious cookie and a breakfast wrap. The staff was fine, not rude but not very friendly either. They were out of bacon, so maybe it had been a stressful morning :)

I like the Artisan. They don't have a huge menu, but the food is good. I love donut Saturdays! I mostly go for breakfast, but the sandwiches are very good too.
