Nice shop with a good selection of treats to choose from

I've been coming here for years and love this place. Even on race days they open at the crack of before dawn so people can get their coffee or whatever and the place across the street has a line out the door. They make excellent smoothies for a hot day and the tamales are excellent also.
Ignore the 1 star reviews from the hipster/millenials about overpriced ice cream. It's Leadville and EVERYTHING costs more because you're in the mountains. I don't understand the reviewers who whined about the prices then paid for their food. If it costs too much for you go somewhere else! This place isn't your local hipster coffee shop on Cap Hill that's a 2 minute walk away with your husky named Aspen.

4/5 is pretty accurate. I too encountered the lady who was pretty rude, although she got much friendlier after she saw I tipped. Gelato was decent and yes a little on the expensive side (as mentioned in other reviews). I might come back, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Blended coffees were pretty good, but food was like what you'd find at a concessions stand or carnival. The corn dogs were smothered in mustard, which took a ton of napkins to wipe off so my young kids would eat them. Doubt we would come back next time we are in Leadville, but it took care of a quick snack on our stop through town. Heard other customers say the ice cream was tasty, though.

The espresso tastes dirty and low quality, I'm pretty sure they don't clean or tune the machine. They charge specialty coffee prices for cheap dark roasted beans. I'm guessing most people don't notice since the coffee flavor is usually masked by milk and syrup, but the americano put a grimace on my face.
That being said, the ice cream/gelato looks tasty and they have a good selection. Maybe stick with that.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND RUDE SERVICE!!! Everything is too expensive the food is made sloppily
It’s obvious that the staff does not care about their patrons.
It’s easier to be nice than to be mean.
DO NOT GO HERE. P.s. we are Colorado natives and this is part of what is ruining this great state.

Very deceptive and even threatening. I ordered one of the flavors listed here as $7.50 for a large, "Berry Banana", and they tried to charge me over $10 claiming that the additional charges were because it was several flavors. I declined and set it on the counter and still they said I had to pay because I took a sip from it.

Pretty good ice cream selection, plus shakes and malts

RUDE staff to say the least. Made the wrong order and refused to change it without me having to pay for another. Absolutely disgusting! Stay away

This place is the reason Leadville does not need a Starbucks. It has every kind of coffee shop drink you could ask for, and is excellent every time. Their Lavender latte is especially unique and tasty. The breakfast burrito is by far the best in town. Locally owned and operated by a great family, any tourist or local would be a fool not to come here!
