Jack & Wanda's Tasty House

What a lovely place to eat. I wanted a great breakfast and came across this mom and pop place it was Amazing. Jack cooking and Wanda serving can't beat that. We got 2 chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast with our drinks it came out to $24 . The place is clean and Wanda and Jack are amazing what a great business they run. This place is highly recommend.

I stopped in about four months ago, and when I first walked in it was a warm comforting atmosphere that reminded me of when I was a child. The older distinguished gentleman was unfailingly polite and the older lady who was behind the counter at the buffet station reminded me of the perfect grandma like you see on television all smiles and graciously greeting everyone. The place was very cleanly and the food was excellent. My spouse had the buffet and only had good things to say about it. I had a hamburger with fries, the fries were very delicious and I don't believe they were even salted or if they were it was very lightly, which is the way I prefer them. They were wonderfully crispy. The hamburger was a 4oz burger on a plain bun, I had mine with tomatoes and onions. It was honestly the best burger I can ever recall eating...it tasted real. I tried to stop in again today but it appeared like they were closed. I will DEFINITELY be stopping again, tbh if lived there I would eat there every day for lunch.

Loved this place. Owner is a genuine hoot! I think he said they have been running this restaurant since the 70's? Real food. Affordable prices. Tasty. I encourage everyone to stop and enjoy their lunch special! Do it soon as the owner is a real treasure and definitely worth meeting. Definitely the best way to help shop local and all small towns appreciate your business.

I loved the atmosphere, this place took me back to when i was younger. jack and Wanda are such nice people. This is one of the best mom and pop's places I've eaten at. Oh and their food is very good. Try their corn it very delicious.

Great home style food! Get one of their Hamburgers they are killer and the size of a truck!

I can't wait to go back and shoot Prairie Dogs and eat one of their burgers.

Mhm, genuine furniture, paintings, photos, meatloaf and staff - just loved the place at once after crossing the plains btw Dodge City and Pueblo at the base of The Rockies!

This place is wonderful! Stop in on your trip and get some chow, have a conversation with jack or Wanda. They are wonderful people. All the beef is fresh so the burgers are great!

My husband and I took our 5 kids here on our way to a family camping trip. The food was wonderful! And the service was excellent!! The couple working here were very sweet people.
