Great dark roast coffee and inviting atmosphere. The owner roasts their own coffee right there at the shop! Definitely try it out. They make all their own baked goods too and offer food.

Super friendly staff (with great family friendly morales, actually!). Clean, bright, welcoming location. Clean restrooms with locking doors. Free Wi-Fi. Wife ordered English breakfast tea, and it arrived quickly, extra hot, and they didn't blink when she asked for a splash of skimmed milk. We could hang out here casually, or meet for business. We will return!

I stopped here after taking a dip in the river nearby. I had a dirty chai and a breakfast biscuit and everything was wonderful! Really nice, prompt service; delicious coffee and food. Great spot while on the road!

Great breakfast and I love the coffee. The porridge is wonderful, and I highly recommend any of the baked goods. The staff is excellent.

Hands down the best coffee in the state of Colorado. If you've been brainwashed by large chain syrup coffee, prepare to be deprogrammed by Tributary. So good you'll want another.

Tributary was a welcome surprise on our way through Gunnison. They make an awesome Americano, and they even roast their coffee in-house! Travis was very kind and happy to chat with us about our trip and other topics while he expertly made our drinks. The coffee was fantastic, but I’d go back any day just for the staff. Thanks guys!!

Just stopped in for a quick chai latte. Friendly staff, cute place, great chai latte, ready quickly. I wish I'd stayed a bit and done some work but had to go. Great location and cool spot.

A review from an actual local, not just one of Google's "Local Guides":
I'm not big on leaving internet reviews, but I have come to the conclusion that I *must* leave a review for Tributary. Specifically, this review is for the cappuccino. I have been to every coffee shop in the valley - from Gothic to Gunnison - and I have to say that Tributary makes THE BEST cappuccino. It's as good, if not better, than some cappuccinos I've had in fancy, overpriced coffee houses in big cities. The espresso is rich, the espresso:milk:foam ratio is just right, and most importantly the foam is the absolute perfect density.
It's not that other coffee shops have bad cappuccinos persay, but the quality really seems to vary depending on who's behind the bar. Tributary makes a consistently great drink, no matter the barista.
If you're up on the mountain and in need of a cappuccino though, I recommend Coffee Lab.

Sweet little coffee shop! Great food, quality coffee and a good environment, would come back for sure!
