What was once an amazing place that stood out is now average at best - A long time favorite suddenly changed. Their breakfast used to be the best in town, especially the breakfast burrito with their homemade salsa. Now they just heat up pre-packaged burritos with generic salsa (what I would do to get their old salsa recipe!)... Seems they have moved to favor convenience instead of quality. Heartbroken it is no longer worth it for me.

This place is great and very cozy inside. Staff is extremely helpful, attentive and courteous. Their cinnamon buns are pretty incredible, according to my family, and it seems they make them in house.
All the reviews complaining about the shortened menu, slower service, and running out of items must be forgetting that we're still dealing with a pandemic, a staffing shortage and a supply chain issue and they demonstrate unnecessary entitlement

What a great atmosphere! All of the staff was so nice & I absolutely LOVED the inside decor of the place. Definitely recommend the chocolate chip cookies and the croissants! Will definitely be back if ever in the area again.

This place used to be absolute fire. Without question, the best burritos I have ever had. Other menu items were also top notch. Reasonable prices for great food & coffee . The atmosphere was also fantastic. The Muddy Buck was the spot to bring for our out of town guests - everyone loved this place. One day the switch flipped (likely a change of ownership) and all of the favored food options vanished - now the options are average at best, and oddly slow to deliver. I'm no master chef, but the food quality is now on par with what I can whip up at home for breakfast (we seem to both acquire ingredients from King Soopers...). A shining favorite quickly turned to a memory.

Love this place!! I have come here a number of times for breakfast and even an afternoon drink. I love the historic feeling and coziness. The people working there are always incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and appreciated. I'll definitely be back!

No place is perfect, but this place is cozy, nice and homey. If you like large cinnamon rolls, you've come to the right place. The homemade cinnamon rolls are warm, soft and gooey.
The service is nice.
There are books and games you can play, and the rock wall is very pretty. If you like special treats and a homey place, come to Muddy Buck. -- written by an 8 and 10 year old

Me and my family have been to the Muddy Buck a handful of times and typically, it’s a 5-star experience. Tasty food, cozy atmosphere, friendly faces.

I would be giving a 5-star today if it weren’t for the regression in food. We ordered sandwiches, salads, avocado toast, veggie sandwiches, etc. the avocado was so unripe, we were able to bend it in half without it breaking, yet retaining its shape. The Roasty sandwich used to be popping with flavor, but this time, the sandwich was dry, bread cut my mouth, and was pretty forgettable. Just all around set back on food.

BUT this place is a coffee shop, first and foremost. The wait staff was very attentive, apologetic, and repaired the situation immediately. Kudos to them. Coffee is still tasty and makes for a nice place to visit on a cold day.

To management—I’m definitely coming back, but please do a little work on the menu, freshness of food, and wait times for the food to come out.
