One star for the service and the orange juice. I walked in and stood waiting to pay for my takeout order. While I waited I was not greeted or acknowledged while the people that came in behind me were warmly greeted by two different staff members. And I am completely indignant about the generic gallon jug of orange juice that I saw my drink being poured from. Meanwhile they are charging 3.75 for a half cup of juice. I'm pretty sure to whole jug cost that much... Good hustle Universal... Good hustle. But I won't be back for the sheer reason that my presence was invisible even though I was a paying customer like everyone else that was greeted all around me.

probably the best bloody mary you can get in the u.s. for $6. although the food was the most memorable. i had a custard toast smothered in apple sauce blueberries strawberries and blackberries. it didnt even need maple syrup. super yum. other party members had the universal with fresh baked biscuits, a killer scramble and a ranchero. all yummy. great cornbread too. all in all, a yumfest for breakfast.

The Universal was very busy with a crowd out front. Easy front counter service to grab a coffee / latte while you wait, which for us wasn't long with a quick turnover. Scrolled through online photos of food and got most excited for the Universal which is a bit of everything! As my photo shows, the banana pancake was amazing, the grits creamy and sweet almost like rice pudding, and the homemade sausage was great! The omelette with potatoes were great, too! Didn't seem like you could go wrong, definitely worth the wait.

A friend and I met on a Sunday afternoon at around 1:00 p.m. We had a bit of a wait, place came highly recommended. Smaller menu but items offered appeared to be a bit different. Latte wound up taking quite some time to make. When I arrived, we had to flag down a staff member to get our server to return to the table. No formal greeting when she did get around to us. Menu item my companion ordered was out for the day. Food came at a good rate and was decent. No fireworks over this joint although we found it interesting that the sign on the table indicated they would like to turn tables however we couldn't even get the server to come to our table!?

We are from out of town and this was close to the place where we were staying. We sat on the patio and had brunch. The service was excellent and the food was good. It was a Wed morning and not very busy so our food came out very quickly. We would definitely come back!
