I am slightly horrified by my experience there. After lunch came here for a scoop of ice cream and the lady with bleach blonde hair took my order with barehands and long witch finger nails, picked up the cone barehanded (when the girl working beside her had gloves on serving others) then she got my friends truffle and then coughed in her hands saying excuse me and then she handed it to him. Disgusting.

workers here are so sweet! they have many food options such as candy apples, chocolates, ice cream, and much more! The candy apples are my favorite! The prices are not expensive at all. The candy apples are great on a cold snowy winter day.

I was a visitor at this store while on vacation. What I learned was that the real treat is not the ice cream or chocolate. No, the real treat was watching the reactions of people as they file out of the store after being verbally assaulted by an employee. Some of the comments made to me, personally, were, “ wow, you are really basic”, “wow, are you going to be rude”, “can you count, I guess not”, and “I guess you can’t read.” Completely unacceptable behavior. I’m not high and mighty, but I prefer kind service when spending my time and money in a store.

Terrible experience here. The employees were extremely rude to everyone in the store. I can’t believe an establishment in a busy town would have an employee behind the counter that could insult multiple people at a time. Definitely will not be back and you should not either. Go to another ice cream store along the main drag in town.

My girlfriend and I went to the RMCF twice during our April stay in Crested Butte. Both employees that we dealt with were very friendly and down to earth. I don't want to discount the other reviewer experiences, however, it's possible that the laid back personalities of CB and Gunnison natives and residents might not translate well for some of the out of state tourist population? Either way, the chocolate was just as good as it is down in Denver, and it was nice that they still keep long hours during the mud season / Spring Break.

I was in the area for just one night and decided to go in. Not one person in the store…no one came while I was in the store. As I walked around I noticed that the fudged looked old and dried out. I was shocked by the condition of the ice cream dip cabinet. It was the most filthy I'd ever seen. There was about a three to four inches(if not more) of spilled ice cream on the bottom of the shelf that the ice cream containers were sitting. There was ice built up on the inside which looked filithy with all the spilt ice cream dripped on it. The ice cream its self had ice crystals on it and probably freezer burnt. Its was so obvious that no one cared about cleanliness. I was in the store a good 6/7 minutes..no one but me in the store. So I would say no customer service. I would NEVER recommend. Horrible. I only gave one star as I had to otherwise it would be 0.

While both the service and the ice cream were excellent, I must give this experience 1 star due to my snack being served using 100% plastic. Going forward I will opt for other shops nearby that use paper and biodegradable products.
