The staff was friendly, but the milk chocolate Carmel candy seemed old. We typically love Rocky Mountain Chocolate, but today in Crested Butte, the milk chocolate carmel was hard and not the smooth creamy texture we love.

It was my 15th wedding anniversary and I love surprises. My husband and I treated ourselves to $200 worth of Bears and Truffles. A Bear has your choice of nuts (Peanut, Almond, Cashew, or Pecans), caramel, and then covered in dark, white, or milk chocolate. Yes, I am blessed I tried each and every choice! Thank You!!

Great tasting Ice Cream! The lady there is very nice and welcoming! So much selection to choose from. Quite pricey, but you get PREMIUM deserts!

My husband bought two candy-coated apples July 16 and didn't unwrap them until we got home. I wish I had looked them over before leaving town. They were not up to the quality we've had at the RMChoc Factory in Estes Park. The apple's coating was was skimpy at best, and looked old with pieces falling off. Definitely nowhere near recently-made looking. When I picked up mine the wooden stick pulled right out revealing a greatly discolored apple core, well beyond what you'd expect for a cut apple exposed to the air. In fact, there was mold. The candy-coated apples from Estes Park have all looked well coated and intact every time we've bought them. We've even saved them for the next day and they still looked and tasted great. So, just a head's up. Make sure you check your candied-apples before you leave the Crested Butte RM Chocolate Factory store.

Really disappointed at this Rocky Mountain chocolate factory.
Normally I have the apple pie apple caramel apple but they didn’t have it.
So I opted just to get a plain caramel apple
The caramel just wasn’t the same.
It was not the same quality that we’re used to when frequenting the Rocky Mount chocolate factory. We also asked for it to be sliced and it wasn’t sliced and it was hard to get a cutting utensil at the hotel.

The best raspberry truffles I've ever had. The ice cream is good too. The service is always excellent. All of the sweets are a cut above. I highly recommend it.

I go here all the time when I'm up in Crested Butte. There is a really friendly staff, a warm atmosphere and a cozy vibe. They have awesome ice cream, tons of flavors of chocolate truffles, fudge, chocolate barks, candies, and lots of varieties of caramel apples, among tons of other goodies. Such a delicious place! 😍

When checking out i noticed the scale was not zeroed. My 4 small chocolates came out to $18. After feeling awkward mentioning the scale, the owner quickly removed something leaning on it. I calculated in my head that the price should have been around $10. Now it was $16 and i just took the receipt and walked out because it already took a while. I saw an extra $5.75 item on there when i got outside. I went back and got that refunded. I hope both were innocent mistakes but i know it could be a way to make extra money from unsuspecting tourists. The chocolates tasted okay...just check the scale and your receipt.

What we liked about it was the product. The candy/chocolate itself was quite tasty!
What we didn't like- the customer service. The man behind the counter didn't take time to answer questions about the products other than 1-2 word answers. That's all fine, everything is some what self explanatory. While we were going through our selections, each time I looked up to make the next choice, the look on the clerks face was as if he wished he could be anywhere, anywhere ELSE in the world other than helping me for the 5 minutes it took to make our selections. Two people came in while we made our last selection so it was not as if we were holding up a large line.
In the end, your bad attitude makes your chocolate sour. The first comment my family made upon leaving the store was about how rude you were. I regret leaving you a tip.
Don't forget, even if you're in a magical beautiful mountain town, customer service is your business, not chocolate.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place, nor return based on the way we were treated.

I was here recently and loved it!! The chocolate and ice cream are delicious but the caramel apples were the best! The customer service was also great, the employees were very down to earth and friendly! Can't wait to come back for a visit and stock up on goodies!
