Love the atmosphere and the waitress was great at helping me decide between some great options. Wish they had some in house sugar free syrups.

Simply lovely coffee shop. Kate is so friendly, and takes time to chat with her customers. Her Orange Cinnamon latte is my go to favorite, as I love Orange and coffee together, so few coffee shops even offer that as an option. The Chai is wonderfully gingery and the flavor is outstanding. Also another favorite, but if you are looking for a sugary sweet one, this wouldn't be for you. Vegan cookies! I always take mine to go, but its a great space to hang with friends.

If you or anyone you know loves scones, you must visit this amazing, cozy, awesome, and picturesque coffee shop!!

I love coming here. It’s a very laid back atmosphere in the heart of Old Colorado City. Kate, the owner, is really nice and hospitable, and I love supporting small businesses. She has a community crossword puzzle always out for people to work on, comfortable seating, outdoor seating, wifi, and a homey feel. She even has doggy bones for dog owners and puts out a water dish for passing dogs. The coffee is really good and she makes some of the snacks herself (try the homemade energy bar!) My only complaint is that I wish she would open sooner than 8 AM, maybe like 7-7:30 AM.

I absolutely love coming here for my Chai fix! It’s such a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the employees are so nice and helpful. I’ll be back for sure!

Carnelian Coffee is the place you want to hangout to catch up with your bestie or read a book on a snowy day. It's the coziest Westside cafe in the heart of Old Colorado City, giving you a real feel for the charm of this community. The cafe features a regular rotation of tasty local and small batch roasts and offers delish specialty drinks (my favorite is the orange cinnamon cappuccino!). The service is always outstanding, and the staff is the sweetest!

We got to know Kate, the owner, around the same time that we started our business (when we were doing farmer's markets at Bancroft Park), and in addition to helping us power through the day with damn fine coffee, we cannot emphasize what a strong supporter of the local community, artists, and women-owned small businesses she is. She carries a curated selection of goods from local businesses so you can always shop local at the cafe and even has signature Carnelian mugs made by Gray Mountain Clay, one of our favorite local potters! In addition, Kate has a regular rotation of new artists whose work she features at the cafe so if you are a regular, it's so fun to get to learn about their work. She also has a book club and hosts pop-ups and classes at the cafe. Kate is the best kind of people and truly loves her local community, and it shows in everything she does at Carnelian.

Great atmosphere. I don't like coffee so I tried the chai and it's pretty much just spicy milk.

The baristas were so kind explaining the menu and different items. I loved the wide variety of bags ready to buy. The old fashion latte was delicious as well.

The ‘rona precautions were fantastic to see.
