Black Rock Coffee Bar

I honestly wish this could be 5 stars. This is one of our favorite places to go. We have been going by once a week since they opened. Their drinks are amazing, the coffee is great and usually, the service is fantastic.
Unfortunately our last experience was not great. If it had been our first, we wouldn't be coming back. We went by for one of their special $3 chiller promotions. While it's understandable that they ran out of the ingredients for a special drink, it is surprising to me that they did not offer a comparable drink for the same price. Instead, it felt like a bait and switch. Rather than spending $9, the tab was $17. To top it off, when they did give us our drinks, they told us the wrong ones. When I questioned it, they said they simply said them wrong but we had our drinks and were good to go.
I understand the stress of food service and I tend to be pretty understanding. I leave gratuity each time we go through, but this time it didn't feel warranted. I'm sure that we'll go again. We do love the coffee here and this isn't the usual experience, but unfortunately it made a greater impression than the dozens of positive ones we have had.

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to! My husband and I aren’t too picky, but couldn’t decide what to get and everyone got so excited to make something special for us, and both our drinks were delicious! It was great to go into a business where the atmosphere is so friendly and fun and the drinks were exactly what we were looking for.

Awesome Americanos!!But every time I come in the place is trashed! Windex, soap & hot water are easy to come by in this country & clean rags too. At least 4 workers I see at one time & 2 are doing nothing. Place would get 5 stars if it was more presentable.

Can get a bit noisy at times, but the coffee was good and the staff were friendly.

Coffee and drinks are great when they are made right. Employees are too much involved with themselves and make so many mistakes. We order a hot chocolate and got a cup of steamed milk instead and no whip. Unfortunately that was the latest mistake of many.I also don’t appreciate asking to post a positive rating for a free drink.

This is a nice change from your normal coffee shop. The layout is nice, it's not overcrowded with furniture. They have a decent selection of coffee and energy drinks that all taste amazing. The employees are all energetic with positive attitudes. It go out of my way to go here, worth it.

Absolutely THE worst place for delivery drivers. They don’t start customer’s order until you arrive. Literally waited 18 minutes for 1 iced coffee and 1 Latte. I get it. You want your customers to get their drinks hot. However, if the drinks are already paid for, it should be ready at expected time. It’s on the customer if they don’t tip their drivers if they receive their order in a timely manner.

Restaurants, other local and chain coffee retailers, discount retailers, i.e . Walmart, etc do not wait until driver arrives to begin order. Defeats the purpose of giving the customer and the driver expected pick up and delivery time.

Hopefully BRC will revisit their policies. Until then, if you are ordering for delivery, beware of the wait time you may encounter.

Ever since Black Rock opened it almost completely eliminated my consumption of Starbucks. Coffee and the atmosphere is great. I love that they make a lot of their drinks in an XL size, some of those same drinks Starbucks would refuse to make it that large. I also can't think of a place that I've been to that has a friendlier staff! Employees there are awesome!

Love the flavor of their drinks, as well as the great attitudes of their staff! Definitely makes it a fun place to be. They make every drink I've tried better than Starbucks, so they've won me over! Their peppermint mocha is great, as well as the mint chip chiller. Family members also recommend the caramel blondie and Mexi mocha. Can't wait to try one of their giant cookies soon!
