Fantastic coffee, quiche was amazing and the crew was incredible; so personable, friendly, and kind. They saw my dog outside and while I was in line, before I had a chance to even ask for water for him, I saw someone carry a bowl of water out for him. Knowledgeable about the products, and made great recommendations. Forget that overrated mermaid place, I'll be here. ;)

To be honest the coffee and the experience is five stars. I only have four because of the cost. I'm never going to stop coming here unless they start making bad coffee... But that's never going to happen. The Walnut Creek location is definitely different than all the other ones that I've been to but it's definitely modern and has a lot of food options compared to other locations so that deserves some credit. Philz just destroys my wallet. Unless I'm not aware of it, I really wish they had a rewards program for loyal customers and along with that thought if you bought their coffee beans in bulk you can get a discount or something. That would be cool.

Coffee is delicious; incredibly flavorful, great way to start the day! I get it as a treat, and just introduced a co-worker to it today. She said it was the best coffee she had ever had. Check out Philz you won't regret it.

For coffee that tastes and looks like a work of art. 😋 📸 🙌

My second time here and it's lived up to all the hype. No gimmicks or sugary cover-ups of bad coffee, just really good coffee and a variety of flavors. The line was long but moved quickly (as their own sinage points put). The price is in line with what i think I should pay for a premium cup of coffee (just under $5 for a large).

so I never have reason to go into the city so this was both my hubby and I's first Philz experience. Although it's a bit daunting as it's not like any other coffee shop and doesn't have an espresso maker in site (huh?), the gal behind the counter was WAY accommodating in explaining it all and making us feel welcome. They have a million flavor combinations for pour over coffee (but not flavors as in syrups mind you, just roasted with the flavors I guess). The result was SOOOO Satisfying! I can't wait to try other flavors. I liked both the one I got and the one my hubby got! I will definitely be a regular. Also had a nice seating area as well.

How can you ever say anything bad about Philz? They have great customer service, good flavors, amazing options, and delicious coffee. My friend says this one reminds him of an Apple store because in the back is a large room w tables, chairs, little comfy booth seats and people are silently working on their laptops. This one has outside seating for sunny days and if you want to bring your pup (Corgi picture) didn’t make it ;/. Dope location tho! Enjoyed the sweet and creamy mint mojito. Make sure to stir!

Philz started a pour over, custom coffee revolution. Discovered them at Outside Lands music festival in 2010 and have been addicted ever since. Not only is their coffee delicious and exactly how you want it every time, the service and overall experience is always fantastic. Don't worry if the line looks long - it moves fast!

This place is one of my favorite Philz whenever I am in Bay Area I'll go there. Today first I saw James, very pleasant, he got my order and went away, I think he told me I can stay by the side or outside until my drink is ready ( I was the only one there). So I stayed on the side.
Jackie (Lady with glasses ) another employee came by me and told me with a condescending tone that I can not stay here and I need to go out. I did not expect the tone nor the attitude and agitated by her tone like she owns the place, and she is the boss I responded the other person told me either here or there, she continued like that, and at this point, I Was very agitated and told her: "You can not talk to me or anyone like that, whether I am a customer or not"
Then I thought maybe I have not heard James very well, so I stayed outside. Then Jackie went away to other employees and started telling them the story however she wanted to put it. And James came back, and when the order was ready, Jackie brought it back and told me AGAIN with a condescending tone: "Here is your order, and that's the sign, you can read it".
I do manage many people and clients, and I never expect disrespect from anyone, moreover from someone who is an agent of a company reputable as Philz. So at this point I asked her name, at first she refused to provide her name, and when I was insisting, she said Jackie, and I asked if she is a manager? And said no, and I told her you to have no right to talk to me like this, she started mumbling and going away, and I was very upset with the insulting behavior, and how no manager came by to correct or mitigate her or at least the situation.
As she was going away, James came by and asked me to leave! I said are you apologizing for her behavior ... or are you approving it, and if you are a manager here. He said LEave the premises.
As I was leaving, Jackie shouted in front of all customers and all employees GO AWAY. ( maybe until here no one heard how she was talking to me, and how disrespectful she was, but at this point, she shouted SO EVERYONE ALL THE MANAGER, EMPLOYEES, AND TWO CUSTOMER HEARD HER. )
I asked James, are you approving this and if he is a manager, he said he is one of the managers and I need to go out like disrespect is part of the culture here. At this point Katie the manager came out!!!!
She apologized for Jackie`s behavior and said she will correct her Jackies behavior. Katie was reasonable and nice, like James in the beginning, I responded I understand customer service and sales, I am region manager for my company, and I always feel accountable for everything y people do, and I treat everyone with respect at my house, and apology suffices, and that shows respect. Katie said she will refund the coffee and .. which she did not, and but that was not my issue or ..
There were many actions Walnut creek Philz employee could have to take to deescalate the situation and prevent it to escalate, but at no point, I Felt anyone is taking responsibility, and honestly that's not what I expected from Philz.
I speak out when I see positive and negative things.

We had never been but really enjoyed the ordering process at Philz Coffee - choosing the coffee beans and tea variety, cream and sweetener quantity was fun and everything was tasty. The interior was well-decorated and there were lots of tables to choose from.
