Great local restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Great food and great service!

Friendly servers and home town atmosphere. The food tends to be overcooked. Eggs cooked solid through when you order over easy or poached. Burgers cooked until there is no moisture or flavor left. But, it's the only coffee shop in town. What can you do?

Delicious breakfasts, with friendly staff like eating at grandma's house

Pretty cool place. Good vibe and atmosphere. Food is very nutritious and tasty. Parking simpl like in the town. Kids can eat here. I saw a lot people with kids in there.

Simple diner fare done well with friendly, professional service. I had brunch consisting of eggs over medium (perfectly done), bacon, hashbrowns, and English muffin for under $10. If I lived here I'd be a regular! They had two tables outside which made it even better since it was such a nice day to eat outside. If you're looking for a good honest breakfast at a reasonable price accompanied with great service I highly recommend it!

Stopped in for a quick bite of lunch. Our first visit to the Sportsman and definitely won't be our last. The sandwiches were huge and packed with plenty of meat. One is big enough for two people to split especially with the large serving of fresh and hot French fries. I had the rueben and hubby had the pastrami. Our waitress was attentive and kept hubby's iced tea well filled. The atmosphere was not fancy but nice and cozy and decorated cute for Halloween. The menu, although covering only breakfast and lunch was fairly extensive with lots of choices. The prices were reasonable especially considering the quantity! Our waitress had an infectious laugh and you could tell she and the rest of the staff enjoyed their jobs. We saw signs advertising homemade sausage for sale which were plan to try on one of our next trips to Twain Harte. Definitely recommend!

Good food. Kind service. Friendly atmosphere. Decent prices.
Family friendly, and accommodating. Decent children's menu selections (but kid's meals are very small portions). Breakfast served all day!

A MUST for visitors! It's so great to see that this town is essentially unchanged since I left 24 years ago. Classic little small town breakfast spot. Brittany was friendly and hard-working. Eggs benedict with spuds were fantastic.
