Quick service, great food and now, nice to sit outside. The ham was tasty. The wait staff was not only quick, but thoughtful and courteous. The price was a little higher than expected, but well worth it. You get what you pay for!

Best Chicken Fried Steak in town. Sorry Jax, you came close, but this is the Truckee winner. Be sure to ask for sausage if your gravy isn’t already thick with it. Had to come back for round two before leaving town.

Food was good, nothing to scream about. At least the coffee was not overly strong like so many places seem to be doing nowadays. I enjoyed a good few cups. Prices were about average for this tourist town. Service was good, friendly and very prompt.

Both eggs and hash browns were burned and just tasted aweful. I tried eating it, fixing it up with salt and hot sauce, but eventually I had to put the plate aside. When I told the manager, he brushed it off and didn’t offer any consolation. $17 plate went down the drain. I know downtown restaurants have it tough trying to keep up with the raising rents but there are a lot of other great local places that deserve you as their customer and provide excellent service. At least our waitress was super nice and you could tell was a hard worker.

Authentic place and food is good. Being served by charming lady from southern California turned hillbilly. The place to visit while waiting for the amtrak morning train.

Stopped to eat on our way home from a two day work meeting in Reno. It was late morning on a Friday and they were super busy. Nice weather outside, the food was good, service was fine, prices okay, nothing really stands out, so that's good because no negatives!! 😉

Cozy home style diner for breakfast in downtown Truckee. Large menu and super fresh food. The waitress was so friendly and I highly recommend

This place is legit! Great food and great service. I really love the decor. All the photos of old Truckee and the knotty pine walls. Love this place.

There are many places in Truckee better to eat than here. The breakfast is o.k. but I panic ordered a “tostada” from their Mexican food section during lunch. What came out was dog food grade beef mixed with box Spanish rice, piled with lettuce, surrounded with tomato slices and a couple of chips tucked into the edge of the plate. Disgusting and definitely NOT a tostada by any stretch. Also, the waitress carried the mouths of our water glasses in her hand. YUCK. They get 2 stars because everyone else’s food was “o.k.” I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Very nice breakfast with large portions and reasonable prices. The people working there are very friendly, too! Well recommended!
