Gourmet market with a great selection of everything you might need. Great for picnic supplies including an amazing selection of wine. The wines are not discounted very much though. Too bad. They used to have a house Pinot noir from Santa Rita Hills that is no longer available. Again too bad. Free brewed coffee samples. Good! Just go!

Best grocery store on the planet, hands down, and I have lived in several countries with hundreds of supermarkets throughout my life. I have friends from out of town who visit me in Santa Ynez, but I know that they are secretly just using me as an excuse to go to El Rancho!

Their deli counter is - bar none - the best in any super market around. I always order "The Jordan"; It's a heart-attack in a sandwich (ie. incredibly delicious). Of course, they also have many equally delicious and healthy options.

Chances are that if you want it, they have it. Everything from fresh smoked pancetta to escargot! My British friend was pleasantly surprised to find several UK products that he hadn't seen anywhere else in years!

One thing I especially like about them is that during these turbulent times, they stay out of politics. Everyone is welcome. Great place to shop!

One of my favorite local stops. Family favorites include Blackberry pie. Liver from meat section and lunch stuff from the deli. Lots of variety and a very pleasant team taking care of you.

We stayed nearby at the fish pond cabin which in itself is a delight. But El Rancho has it all. Our favorite stop in the valley. Everything is wonderful -- deli is outstanding with everything from sandwiches, sushi, desserts, and full meal items. the fresh toasted coffee has an aroma that makes my mouth water. The coffee bar is great for breakfast and the fresh pastry are mouth watering good. We usually buy sandwiches, cheese, crackers, etc. for our lunch time stop at a local winery. Can't say enough of this place and the friendly and helpful staff.

Cynde and Jennifer were awesome and patient with us doing our litter transaction. The store it's self is amazing and stocked so well. We're from Torrance CA and love to run away to Solvang, these girls make our quick shopping trip so convenient. Love the them. Aloha Dare & Byron.

Really clean, nice employees, and lots of good organic brands! The sushi and hot bar are really impressive with a lot of options! You can really get something and make a whole lunch out what they have.

A bit of expensive but not bad !

El Rancho is the absolute best in the VALLEY and beyond! We love them. The quality of EVERYTHING is superb! The people who work there are so nice! I look forward to shopping in there! There is not a bad thing to say, the highest quality around and the nicest experience!

Feel in love with it when I saw it, and feel in love with it even more after walking in. The food at this grocery store is amazing. They have it all. My favorite are the deli sandwiches. OMG! They're so good. This is a great place to full up you belly so you can do some tastings and get place to get your cheese and ham to eat in you motel to pair with vine for a late night snack.
