We have been coming here for years; however, it’s the first time that we have been back since the pandemic. We were a party of 5 and we had lunch & bought pastries. They offered sandwiches and soup on the menu & the prices were reasonable. The food and service were very good. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating.

I wish I could give more stars to this place. Definitely it smells amazing and that’s the reason we went it. It had long line to place order for pastries as well as drinks. Drinks aren’t that special. They just used the power to make the vanilla chai that we ordered. Pastries do look amazing in the display but were so cold when they gave it to us. They were good in flavor but wish they could be on room temperature at least to enjoy. They should also improve hygiene. There were flies everywhere and staff wasn’t wearing masks. I would not go there again unfortunately.

One of a bazillion bakeries in town but I visited this one based on the rave reviews. The place is cute, clean and has lots of seating along the right side. It wasn't busy (Monday, after Easter) but I can imagine this place gets packed on weekends. The goodies all looked incredibly yummy but I couldn't try them all 😔 I bought an almond tart and another almond thingy. I can't remember the name. The tart was amazing, the other was...okay. I wish I had more time to spend there, and room in my stomach to try them all.

Good bakery, we tried this danish bakery place because of Google reviews. We ordered vanilla chai but it was okayish, they use a particular powder to make vanilla chai so it’s not authentic at all. Lots of bakery items to try out, I tried bear claw and cream puff, they were good but should have been better and a little warm.

Traditional Danish bakery with a wide assortment of pastries, biscuits and breads. It’s our to go place when visiting Solvang. They have indoor and outdoor seating but gets pretty packed during tourist season. Best is to make someone sit at the table before you order.
PS: they have illy coffee!

Ok so .. I was there a couple days and had pastires elsewhere and this place had by far the freshest pasties we gobbled down while there.. and the employees so attentive and super nice. place has a great history behind it! We left with boxes of pasties to bring home and share an even freeze. We enjoyed our visit there and learning about the history about them which started 75 years ago I beleive . Take a peek in and enjoy a pastry.. remember everyone has different tastes .. get what looks yummy!

This is definitely worth stopping by for pastries! If you’re headed up to wine country or down from the central coast back to SoCal, you can’t go wrong with some danishes or bear claw. The pastries were moist and flavorful, and the almond paste in the bear claw was generously portioned enough, and not overly sweet.

For reference, we also picked up comparable pastries from the Danish Mill, and Birkholm’s were significantly better.

There's plenty of bakeries here in Solvang, but hands down, this is our favorite. The pastries here are beyond my wildest dreams. Not only do they look good ,but taste amazing.

We came here because it was rated top on Yelp and Google reviews. To be honest, this place does not live up to the hype.

We ordered cheese danishes to compare against other bakeries in the area. When we asked to have the pastries warmed up the man at the register told us it was impossible to warm it up and came off very upset that we would ask that. We found this kind of strange since every other bakery was able to warm up the pastries.

Overall, the pastries were delicious but not as good as other places because they were cold. Having it warmed up gives it that cherry on top to make it even more enjoyable.

I would not recommend this bakery because of the interaction we experienced with the gentleman behind the cash register.

It was very clean and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. We ordered coffees, cocoa, brownie, cinnamon roll, danish & a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious & we ended up taking home a loaf of sourdough!
