Bogart's Coffee House

Local coffee shop across the street from one of Southern California's fantastic ocean views. Friendly young baristas serving coffee, milk shakes, ice cream, shaved ice and various other items.

Definitely worth skipping the big name coffee shop and stopping here.

Bogart's is Seal Beach's best local coffee shop. It overlooks the pier and brews a mean cup of joe. The people are unpretentious and service always welcoming. The free wifi is helpful for those who set up shop and get their work done remotely. All in all, if you want to make sure your money stays local, enjoy.

Great coffee. But I am tired of customers taking up all the seating using their laptops and buying one coffee and sitting there for hours. Have some courtesy for those who just want coffee and a place to enjoy it. Move on and give others a chance to sit. Stop using these coffee shops as your office or study hall. It's bad for their business. This is such a nice little place with limited seating so give them a break.

This was one of the best coffee houses I have visited in my time spent in California. The service was remarkable and the coffee perfectly made. Not only were the baristas kind and friendly but they were educated and informative. I highly recommend coming here kicking back and enjoying an everything bagel and Expresso

I spent my teenage years growing up in Los Al and Seal Beach. Some establishments have welcomed the local youth and the odd ball crowd, which is the beach culture. This coffee stop is not the most welcoming, but nonetheless its a seal beach stop so I will represent. My wife and daughter stopped by here today and my wife purchased a peanut butter ice coffee and 30 minutes after drinking she felt bad. An hour after that she was throwing up and dizzy. She's not pregnant we have that covered, and she ate very light today, the coffee is now down the sewer and she is on the couch laying down. Thanks Bogarts, we won't be going there ever again... but next door at el burrito the pint of ceviche and tostada are a must. Surfer special used to be $4.20 in 2006-7. Love peace & grease

Great coffee. The team is great with kids and dogs. We have went every day during our trip. Highly recommend.

Not enough seating during events.
I went to Bogart's to listen to a performer that I was really excited about seeing but when I arrived there was no seating available. They have a huge couch which looks comfy but takes up way too much room and can only really seat two people comfortable, when I went two people had to sit on each others laps just to be able to squeeze in on the couch. They had fold-able chairs outside but the people taking up most of the seats outside were being so loud that there was no way to hear the performer inside. I'm not sure if they were there for Bogart's or if they were from the bar next door, since they did seem a little drunk. I stuck around for about 25 minutes waiting for a seat or to see if maybe the crowd outside would leave or quiet down but they sadly did not and it was too cold to stand outside barely being able to hear the performer over the rude crowd outside so we ended up leaving. My advise is to create more seating inside, the large couch takes up enough room for two more tables. I feel like they were going for a comfortable homey feel but instead it feels like its a bunch over sized furniture crammed into a really small space.

My absolute favorite coffeeshop. The vibe is great, the coffee/tea is great and the service is great. Situated about 10 minutes down the PCH from Cal State Long Beach, it’s the occasional hot spot for students to come study (I myself included). They have open mic nights, musicians, and a bunch of other fun things to do. I love Bogarts!!!
