So delicious, everything is so fresh. The breakfast burrito is bomb, and the chocolate chip cookies 🤗🤗 mmmmmmmm
And all the employees were great and nice and helpful.

Top 5 in SLO. Great food and amazing people! One of the things I love most about this place is their selection of local wines and other items. Great place to find gifts too.

Great customer service! The catering manager took a few minutes to tell us about their food and services. Yummy food. We'd definitely visit again!

...the simply tragic
"Chicken Vege Noodle Soup"
tasted like what I imagined the
Salt level of the Salton Sea would taste, but less briney than
the Lake in Carrizo National Park.
Now for the details on this soup....
It was so salty that it was getting to be inedible as I ate it.
While Brine Shrimp could be pleased, I was far from it.
It was likely on par with some of the worst canned soups
that I have only tasted....only far more pricey. It was $7.50
for a so-called medium bowl...which was tiny.
While it was impressive that this brine was taken out
of a cast iron pot, it was not obvious that this
was "homemade".
This brine had small amounts of stuff swimming in it,
as follows:
1) A few hard tough chewy over-cooked chicken
chunks that were horrid. While they were larger
than canned, they were somehow even worse, since
they were so chewy. With the overpowering salty
taste, these were bland. Obvious homogeneous
cuts that looked rather "industrial".
2) A few pieces of over-cooked limp Veggies. While
the few pieces of carrot were acceptable, the few
pieces of other veggies were limp.
3) A few pieces of decent potato were
welcomed.
4) Spices. While there were some flakes of
obvious spice floating in the brine, the extremely
saline brine overwhelmed.
5) As I noted before, the brine could not really
be called a broth, since it was basically inedible
by itself. Despite paying top dollar for this,
I left it to be thrown out.
6) Pasta. A very few pieces of non-descipt Pasta.
It was a waste of
my time & money.
I have eaten their foods, before, and now I think that this place
has gone to the "brine shrimp" in this case.
Sadly, this place has seemed to gone the way
of so many downtown SLO places that serve
mostly students or tourists, and now serve
over-priced poorly made food that carries
a "homemade" label.
It could well be that some of their
other items are better, but they are pricey
and if you cannot make a decent soup,
what can you make?
This was an example of many of the
things that can & do go wrong as seen
on the cooking channel. I cannot see
how anyone could serve this, having tasted
it while either being made, or when it was
done.

Everything I have tried is above and beyond San Luis Obispo's usual fare. Homemade tasting? Better than homemade unless you have a live-in chef. Absolutely my favorite place in the County!

Love stopping in here for a quick meal during my shift. Everything is always super tasty. Also a great place for coffee for making it through a long night.
