The food was delicious and unique. I ordered the grilled cheese and loved it. It was just the right twist on a favorite meal. It came with a good portion of salad with delicious dressing that I wish they sold by the bottle (although I didn't ask so maybe they do). My mom ordered the tuna melt and was just as satisfied. We had the veggie and lentil soup to share and enjoyed that as well and loved the bread that came with it. The tea and coffee was also just as good as the food if not better. Loved everything about this place!

I had breakfast here today with my daughter. The atmosphere is casual and it's quiet enough to converse easily. I had a breakfast burrito and coffee and she had a bagel with cream cheese and other toppings and some coffee drink. My breakfast burrito had a good combination of foods with the right proportions of each to make it pretty tasty. While the food was good, the price of the meal, at $35.00 wasn't. That's just too much to pay for the amount of food we had and not worth it. Probably won't be rushing back here because of the high cost.

My wife was a bigger fan of this place than me. I find them over priced for what you get which makes all the other aspects compound. The food is super slow to come out. Most of the time college kids are camped out here so there is no place to sit. Too often we end up across the street at the park. Once you get the food it is good. Nice presentation and good quality.
With so many places within a few blocks, I typically go elsewhere. Try Linnaea's instead.

We were visiting from out of state and were so excited to find this place. We initially found this place on Yelp, but had decided on a different spot. While we were walking back to our place we passed Sally Loo's and were disappointed we didn't choose to eat here. It's packed ALL THE TIME which is awesome. You walk in and your order at the counter, then you find a seat - good luck, though! People are pretty nice, so if you find there's a lot of room at the farm-style tables, just ask to join! The food is fantastic and the service is even better. I would absolutely go back, which we did 3 more times before leaving.

What an amazing little gem tucked away in San Luis Obispo. I've been here numerous times and though the wait can be long, the food and the ambiance are top-notch. Please note that those people commenting in the past month ( and giving only one star) are people who have a personal agenda against the owner and not the actual cafe. Pay attention that a few repeat themselves in additional posts still starring one star. The community supports the owner and this wonderful gem of a place! It is not to be missed!

My husband and I stopped here while driving through the city on our way to San Fran and we both agreed that it was review worthy. The service was crazy fast, the food and coffee were delicious (we had an açaí bowl and a stuffed croissant with bacon) and the employees were so friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent food; quality ingredients and very friendly folks!
My friend Stephen in LA heard I was from SLO and couldn’t stop talking about Sally Loo’s as had not missed a meal here on business trips. I thought I would try Sally Loo’s just to say I had been and then proceed to tease him that it doesn’t exist. Now years later every time we talk he asks me if I’ve tried Sally Loo’s. I always claim it’s not a thing. Maybe it’s me just trying to keep the secret of SLO here or just having a funny topic to keep us connected. Who knows. But Sally does exist and the food is fabulous!!!

Soooooo good!! We got the pesto breakfast sandwich and the blueberry waffle. Maybe the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Super cute restaurant too.

Pretty expensive. In years past the vibe and quality was better in my opinion. I don't recommend the drip coffee. I think the crew and crowd is white conservative Christian. Some pseudo political T shirts worn by kitchen staff sent the message this place isn't for me.
