I typically only go for the salmon bisque which is one of their signature menu items and for good reason. It's amazing! That said, everything ordered looked really good as well. The patio is tree draped, they have outdoor heating and mood lighting in the evening. Very cozy.

Came here for lunch. The service was great but the Korean short ribs were a little tough. I would still recommend it 👍🏻

Came here for my girlfriend's bachelorette's dinner. Decent food. Walk around the area too. Good bars and shops to go to.

Bryan, our waiter, served us with excellence on our special honeymoon dinner. We loved the filet and scallops. Drinks and ambiance were also amazing.

Wonderful establishment. Great service and delicious food. If you can get a table closest to the creek, you’re in for a treat. Heaters outside work great and the ambiance for two, is excellent. Great experience here on Valentine’s Day. They even had flowers on each table. Definitely an expensive restaurant though, so be prepared, and enjoy!

I have lived in San Luis Obispo for a long time. There has been changes to downtown eateries almost consistently. Novo remains a steady, reliable and delicious favorite. Really any time of day to add. There is no mood that cannot be turned around by a passionfruit margarita and ahi nachos :) We recently stopped in to sit on the patio and take a breath before picking up our kids. It is simply an oasis. The server didn't see us for a while, and could tell I was bummed on the wait. She comp'd the meal with exception of iced tea. This is just one example of their pure and genuine service. I would tip them more than the meal, every time. Never disappoints. Best drinks in town, hands down. Good for any occasion. We love them.

The food is great, no doubt. If you don't have allergies it's a wonderful place to eat.

I however have celiac, which means I cannot eat gluten. Despite them telling me repeatedly that it will be safe to eat here and they make things in separate pans, make it on a separate grill, etc, I've gotten sick 3 times. I'm assuming it's from cross contamination as I've found parts of other dishes in my food, like steak in the ahi nachos. Twice they brought me out the gluten version of the food and I had to send it back. I'm currently super nauseous and dealing with a bunch of stomach pain because of these folks, and won't be coming back. I should have stopped coming after this first time, but I do love those nachos.

I'll honestly miss them!

This place has such a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Their Short Rib and Ahi nachos were so good, I'd go back just for that.

Great service, when coming in as one person, I like to sit at the bar to eat. The bartender was lovely and I met a very nice couple!

Best food hands down in all of SLO. A few friends took us here and surprised me with a adorable birthday celebration. The NOVO team put a birthday card on the table and brought an adorable dessert. The vegetable pave was absolutely amazing, and my husband said he loved his green curry. We REALLY loved the experience and the food and would highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area, hands down!
