This coffee place along the posh section of the Alameda near the Rose Garden is a mainstay of the area. It is a lively place with plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor, and has a great selection of coffees, pastries and sandwiches.
It has an antique feel to it juxtaposed with various edgy artwork. The seating by the bay windows is excellent for relaxing and sipping a cup of coffee while people-watching through the windows as this is a very busy area.
It can be fun watching the busy baristas behind the counters very efficiently handling the many eager customers, calmly and pleasantly.
This place is definitely something to keep on your list as an option for hanging with friends, or just relaxing and enjoying a nice coffee.

Cute little spot to do work or meet for coffee with friends.
I like this place because it has a lot of space to do work. And the food is pretty good as well. They have a variety of pastries and drinks, including the red velvet latte which was delicious! I also got the chipotle chicken panini and it was pretty good.
I’ll probably be back to try their bahn mi since they were out of them when I visited.

One of my favorite coffee shops and the best place for those nomad workers. The coffee is awesome (great baristas!!), WiFi is fast, plenty of table space, and they don’t blast the music. Whenever I come back to the Bay Area I always stay nearby.

I've been visiting this place for a few years now. I love their red velvet latte. Really like the cafe vibes as well. Wish they close later. Pre pandemic - this was our go to coffee place in the evenings. 3 PM is way too early and our frequency of visiting has majorly reduced because of that.

Stopped for the first time to get coffe. Double latte was 3 out 5. Too much milk.
Service was slow for 1 coffee but only 2 people were working behind the counter.
The atmosphere looked nice. Plenty of places to sit.

The coffee and bagel were fine. The girl working the cashier looked like she didn't want to be there. No problem, I understand working retail myself. Just that extra level that gets a 5 star rating in my book.

Came during the week during lunch. Fairly busy with ample spaxe to park in the back. Great for seating outside as well. Ordered the chai tea latte and it was fantastic. Service was quick and great atmosphere.

A nice change of pace. It's got a more welcoming sit-down and chat type vibe compared to Starbucks (which no longer has sit-down available) or Pete's just a hundred yards or so down the Alameda.
I won't knock off a star for this, but I will say, with Greenlee's bakery and Café Rosalena's right next door, the sweets and breakfast burrito are something to avoid, but that's almost an unfair comparison since those two places are top tier in their craft.
Shout-out to the red velvet white chocolate mocha there. Everything I've had has been really good each time.

The café has a good vibe, good place to chill. I ordered the java chip coffee and it wasn't great. It was more like ice slush and I didn't like it. Honestly, I was expecting something similar to starbucks java chip frappe. It wasn't that and had just had too much ice.
