I like the idea of a nice grocery store. That area on Market between 6th and Van Ness needs to be revamped, and hopefully this will be the catalyst.
So far, it's really clean. Because it's new, it's really crowded, especially around lunch time. There are a few dining options to choose from, which includes a sandwich bar, tapas, and pizza. But if you need to dash, there are takeaway options in the grocery area, which includes salads and sushi.
There's also a few vendors there that sell specific products like wine, confections, and body products.
I've been going to the cafe this past week to get tea. I forget the brand they use, but it's definitely not Lipton. I believe they use Yumi. The coffee they use is Four Barrel. And you get a discount if you bring your own mug.
If you're in the area, you should definitely visit just to see the place. The grocery part is basically a Whole Foods where the prices are roughly the same. But it's probably the only part of Twitter's building you can enter if you're not an employee, so why not?

Market on Market is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Two of the better markets in the area had closed and the local drugstore has an extremely limited grocery department by necessity. With grocery, eat in and take-away options it fills a need. Well lit, and appointed, the staff are friendly and obliging.

The stuff here isn't cheap, but they have a unique selection of goods! I love the selection of fresh food you can get at the little pop-up restaurants inside too. The Twitter folks are so lucky to have this market!

Bougiest grocery store imaginable. Wish the prices were a bit lower but you get what you pay for I guess! For lunch I love the takeaway turkey bacon wrap, pro tip - nuke it for like 40 seconds.

I got a small cup of fruit & paid a ridiculous price for it. Way too expensive. Once I started eating the fruit I realised there was large chunks of dirt, mud, rocks & grass all through my food! One of the weirdest, grossest food experiences I’ve had. I’d expect more from you Twitter...

Fresh food. Mostly over-priced. However, you can hack the salad bar. Grab tuna, chicken or tofu for a high-protein, reasonably priced lunch.

The Market Cafe. This place has insulting high prices and poor food quality. I spent 10 dollars on a bagel egg sandwich and they used a frozen egg patty. San Francisco food can be expensive, but for ten bucks they have to at least use real eggs. It would still be a rip off, but not a big enough rip off for me to spend time writing a bad review of the place.
That was two and a half hours ago, but I am still not over the insult of being charged that much money for such terrible food. And I feel sick. This place is worse than a rip off. It's an insult. Do not eat here.

Very convenient store for fellow downtown residents. Prices are high but good quality.
I recommend if you need items immediately.

Very hip and ultimately what San Francisco is all about. There are tons of options, from vegan, to gluten free, to organic. A really good place to get great food.
