I brought three “healthy” food boxes from the refrigerated foods to the counter. The cashier pointed out that one box was bulging and could signal spoilage, so I passed on it. The second one, a buddha noodle bowl, was sweet and inedible. Chalked it up as a loss.
Then a day later (yesterday) as I opened this to heat up, noticed mold spores growing on top of it despite the exp date being 10/25.
The cashier kindly pointed out that I should keep the receipt “just in case”, which was a bit peculiar in all my experiences in grocery shopping. I passed on it. In hindsight, it’s obvious now. I messaged the store before posting here, thinking they would reply, but they didn’t.

Local-feeling market loved by those living in the area as a niche-food and restaurant location. Lots of small eateries inside, security that is roaming around creating a much safer-feeling atmosphere than directly outside, neighboring Twitter, hotels, and theaters. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat before going to Orpheum Theater or exploring market street. Note that the pizza location is closed until later in February... but the Korean place turned out to be really good as well!

I decided to check out the hot food here since I needed something quick and vegan. I figured it’s a health food store so they will have some options. I was told they can make me a beyond burger. No Dairy free cheese or any plant based options and then they put mayonnaise on it when it was requested as vegan and non dairy! obviously they just threw it together without even trying for $15

Everything here is pricy, but that's San Francisco --- isn't it? Grocery store with a variety of food stores: poke, ramen, tacos, filipino and korean food --- + a self serve food bar with salad and other snacks/dishes.
After eating at several of the shops, I think the trick is just to get a couple boxes from the self service area; a salad with whatever else tickles your fancy.
They had some "small batch"... "artisanal"... meringues from Redwood City --- and they were quite good. Shared them with all my coworkers; they were not overly sweet; they were crispy without crumbling to smithereens.

The recession is affecting everything. The burger at this place has gotten 50% smaller for the same ridiculous price of $16. They should at least rename it to 50% Burger. Thank God I got extra condiments, coz apparently that's how I'm going to get full for today's lunch

Good place for last minute items. Overpriced but it's a local place so I'm not too mad about it...yet. However, a big deterrent to going there is the security guard. He has repeatedly said things that have made me feel very uncomfortable, like I'm prettier than whoever, and holding the door for me while saying "I know you're a strong girl, I saw that big thing of milk you bought". He was watching what I was buying at the checkout counter. I'm not trying to get anyone fired but he needs some serious training on how to just be a (silent) security guard unless someone or a safety issue is requiring his attention.

I always come here for a slice of pizza. Today, I've decided to go with a burger. The burger is large, so I've decided to cut it in half and eat the other half later, just to find out the burger is raw inside, in fact still icy inside. I had to throw it all away. I work 6 blocks away, and I've only had 20 minutes left. I didn't have time to return it and come back. The number they've provided on their website doesn't work. So I decided to email them. I got a quick response from the manager, my money was refunded and she also was kind enough to provide me with another burger.
So instead of the initial 1 star, I'm changing it to a 3 because their pizza are delicious. If you are getting the burger, I definitely recommend you to open them to make sure they are properly cook before heading out the door.

Categorized as a grocery, but it's basically just a cafeteria - you wouldn't want to use it for your normal groceries because it's overpriced, lacking on essentials, and has terrible hours (e.g. it's not open on weekends).
Food is good, but it's basically the same price/quantity/quality that you'd get from restaurant takeout.

Great place to link up with friends for a great variety of bites and drinks. If you’re like me, love food way too much, and want to try everything, this can be tough. I ended up trying the pizza, gelato and dessert and it was all fantastic.
Pizza by the slice is a great value considering how massive the slice is. If you’re a meat lover, go for the Sicilian Fratellanza. You won’t regret it!

2nd time I bought food that was either spoiled or in this case, tasted like soap. It was hummus.
I suggest their buyer taste the products they sell if they don’t already.
