Our go-to for croissants and coffe. I especially love their cold brew

The baristas here are super kind and def know how to brew a cup of coffee, they’re quick with it too even if it’s busy. Their matcha is also phenomenal!!

Amazing location overlooking the Waterfront Park and San Diego Bay. Coffee is solid, as well as their chai and mocha lattes. Nice outdoor patio is an added bonus.

Portal is a great coffee shop with an excellent selection of freshly roasted local coffee, great lattes with incredible flavor combinations, and delicious pastries! Add that to their relaxed brick atmosphere and beautiful outdoor patio and super friendly staff, and you have a recipe for a great time at a local coffee shop! Bonus points if you go on a Saturday morning when local DJ Graffick is mixing some smooth but upbeat tunes.

Good quality coffee, no complaints about that. As with most cafes in the US though, I wish there was more of a push towards sustainability and less towards the convenience of “to go” packaging regardless of where the customer’s consuming their drink. As others have said, ordering is via a tablet, which still asks for a tip (odd?). Very Portal indeed… Hello Wheatley!

Order from an iPad “portal” and the baristas make your coffee pretty quick. The coffee quality is very good. This place also has outside seating and a cool atmosphere.

No personal touch at all. Was not greeted when I was entering, no acknowledgement at all just a tablet sitting out covered in Covid.

No cash accepted so I left.

Sadly your reply that your going to ignore me is really proving the customer service complaint. I was not able to purchase from you because your staff couldn’t assist. When I waited in line I was never greeted. Once I got to the order tablet I asked an employee if they could assist me if I was using cash, they had no response and went to go ask another employee who told me “no”
It was not a good service experience so happy Google is an open platform where I can leave a review based on my experience INSIDE your cafe. Childish behavior from a “4 star” coffee shop.

A chill atmosphere to get some work done or chat with a friend. You order on a tablet and receive everything in to-go packaging. Tried the cold brew with vanilla and oatmilk (only 10 cent charge for oat which is awesome). It was pretty strong but smooth coffee. Also tried the blueberry lemon scone which was okay, would have enjoyed it more warmed up.
