My favorite coffee shop in San Diego. The owners are great folks, and the coffee is high quality and delicious. There's nothing pretentious about this shop, and it doesn't ascribe to the 2020's "sterile bright white coffee shop" aesthetic. It's welcoming and a nice place to be.

Great sourcing and incredible quality coffee and snacks. They have gluten free options and the staff are really just lovely and friendly as hell. My go to spot.

This is hands down the best coffee shop in North Park / University Heights area. Their coffee is consistently good. My go to is an oat milk cortado.

Located in north park in a trendy area, workers are friendly And helpful. By looking on Yelp they are known for their toast so I ordered the avo toast, which was surprisingly very mild tasting. The bread is a thick sourdough which is crunchy and tasty. The toast is spread with Dijon mustard, avocado, And a generous sprinkling of sesame seeds. I think what would’ve made it batter was if I had some hot sauce but other then that it was quite good. I also ordered the lemon pound cake which isn’t on the menu is just some of their patties of the day. It was good but not lemony enough. Overall my experience from this place was pretty good.

I LOVE this place! It's light and airy interior is welcoming, and despite how small it actually is, it feels huge. Not like so many coffee shops, that can give you claustrophobia. Maybe it's just all the plants that line the shelves all around... my favorite order is the Almond Milk Latte, but one day I'll branch out. Lol. The owner, Kevin, is a delight... Kind, Patient, and very helpful.

Guys.. I love this place. Was visiting from out of town, and my Airbnb was close. Thankfully! One day we tried somewhere else for breakfast.. fail.. went to a second place.. fail.. ended up back here again! Ate here three of our four mornings. Good lattes, great toast menu, also really enjoyed the banana chai pudding bowl! Baristas are super helpful and friendly. Hope to be back someday! Also, I'm gluten free.. this is the place to be.

Such a hidden gem!! The brewed coffee is amazing, and this is the place I go when I need Hario V60 filters. The baristas are always so nice, and it has a surprising amount of brewing supplies for a coffee shop. Love this place!

Right off the bat: Best cold brew I've ever had. Delicious and always gets me wired. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, always playing good tunes and is a great spot to chill in. I recently tried a couple of their toasts and they are great. I don't recall what the first one was called, but it's basically a ham and swiss sandwich with grainy mustard. The second one is The GOAT. I LOVED IT. It's a delicious slice of sourdough topped with apricot preserves, goat cheese and olive oil. Perfection.

Good quality coffee and their salted 🍁 latte is delicious. Not overly sweet, but just enough to compliment the coffee.

Hawthorne is one of the better coffee places in the area, and probably in SD. I personally like their Mocha because they use cacao, and it's not so sweet. Prices are reasonable, especially when it tastes this great.
