Always fantastic! The kids hot chocolate was a hit

A great 3rd place! When work gets overwhelming, when the house is full of chores and responsibilities this is where I go to reset. The staff is friendly but more importantly fast! The coffee is phenomenal and on the weekends they serve breakfast burritos that are out of this world! I love this place, I wouldn't be surprised if you do too!

This place may be cute, and it does have a great location, but it does NOT live up to the hype. First of all, the coffee quality is not the best, especially for how expensive it is. It is very acidic and bright, definitely not the best quality. I do like their kombucha, but it is also overpriced. But, my biggest complaint is the service. The employees are very rude, and seem bothered whenever i try to order or ask about something. I just don’t understand why, but the employees and customer service are like this at every bear coast location I have been to. The vibe at this place is not welcoming, and you get the feeling that if they don’t know you, they don’t want you to be there :/

The whole Bear Coast crew is amazing! They have the best coffee in town hands down and now with the Stance Socks location open you can get a cup anywhere in town! If they ever get your order incorrect they have no problem fixing the issue and have 0 attitude about it! SO awesome to have a great local coffee shop in town!

Great little place right across from the pier and beach. Very modern looking, sleek with some cute sayings around the shop. It was very busy when I popped in for a coffee, but service was fast and they churned drinks out quickly.
The fact that they offer a turmeric latte caught my eye, as did the caramel lavender latte. Both of these flavors are still somewhat new, but definitely buzz words in the coffee shop world, and I love both. I went for the caramel lavender, iced with almond milk. While it was decent, I wanted more lavender and less caramel. After the ice melted down a bit, neither flavor was identifiable.
They supposedly make their own almond milk (Yelp told me this, but no signs indicating that), which is awesome! I also appreciate a decently priced coffee in a location like this, when so many beachfront shops upcharge.

Cute little coffeeshop directly across the San Clemente pier offering good quality coffee and various small treats. Get your coffees to go to sit outside or walk around the pier.

This is my favorite coffee place in Southern California. They always have something interesting brewing and they dial in the espresso AND the drip coffee daily. They don't do pourover because it takes too long, it's inconsistent, and they want to get you the caffeinated goodness as quickly as possible. This is a good thing, and it reflects their pride in their product. All the staff are incredibly friendly and will talk to you for hours about the coffee if you want, but they won't keep you there to talk if you want to just get your cup and go. They always have a variety of roasters available, which embodies their commitment to quality as well. They pick the best beans based on taste and not based on brand name. The only downside is that I am now even more of a coffee snob, and I can't always find nor brew such high quality coffee myself.

My favorite coffee I've ever had. They focus on lighter roasted coffees to really bring out the natural flavors of the beans. This means lots of fruit notes in the aroma and flavor. On top of the great coffee and baked goods sold here, the staff are always extremely friendly!

had a terrible experience with the coffee here, hoping to redeem it with another visit on the behalf of it being frequently recommended and has good reviews! got a peppermint mocha and it tasted like... ramen? very odd and ended up throwing it away after a few sips. i also got the feta egg sammie; was good but not very tasteful. its in a nice location and is good for a quick coffee but wouldnt expect any mind blowing delicious coffee (:

So I was at Bear Coast coffee in San Clemente at the end of a 3 week vacation in the USA. I flew out that night back home to Australia.
This is without doubt the best coffee in the USA.
I visited dozens of cities over the last 8 years been to 100 more coffee joints trying to find someone who can make a decent cappuccino and bingo the last day of my vacation I find it.
Thank you to the wonderful barista and the other staff there the food was also great. 😀👍
