After driving 3 hours without seeing a single place to stop we stumbled onto the san ardo cafe and we were extremely lucky to do so. The gentleman who worked there was really nice. The service was on point and the food was delicious. I went with the Carne asada tacos and they were truly some of the best I've had. Definitely recommend if you catch yourself in San Ardo.

I have been driving from Santa Barbara to the Bay Area for over a decade and I've never stopped here, instead choosing to go to innout. I will not be making that mistake again (unless I'm traveling late at night) The San Ardo burger (cheese burger with fried jalapenos) made me cry tears of pain and joy. The vibes are great too, love the rural small town atmosphere and the owner is super friendly. Oh...and they have boba!

Here 10/16 at 11:50AM. Restaurant is open for takeout only, cash only today.

We both got breakfast burritos, made fresh to order with a free side of delicious spicy red salsa. Ate on the shared bench out front. So tasty. Three meats! Sausage, chorizo, and bacon! Freshly cooked potatoes! Perfect flour tortillas that held up through the last bite.

5 out of 5 would recommend.

Fantastic breakfast burrito! Maybe the best one I’ve had ever and I’ve had a lot of breakfast burritos.

Stopped here on a road trip and it was incredible. Delicious homey cooking for cheap prices. Great place to stop for a meal while on the road.

Great food. The bean burrito for the kids was great. They loved it. The other child got the chicken tostada and loved it. The kids burger was very good with a juicy hamburger patty. The street tacos we had 1 each were very authentic and not dry. Lastly try the coffee and hot cocoa. They don't skimp on serving size and service. 5 stars all the way. Stop and eat here.

Huge servings. We ordered a double cheeseburger and a club sandwich. Too big! Instead of turkey on the club it was made with ham.

Authentic Mexican food at very affordable prices! Made to order chips & salsa, stuffed jalapeno peppers, tacos, etc. You will have to wait for your order so kick back and enjoy a beer. Believe me, it will be well worth the wait.
