San Ardo Cafe is a gem just off the 101 that we found online during a recent road trip in California. Although modest inside, the food is great and the service is friendly. I enjoyed the carne asada omelet. Spouse had the chile verde omelet, with the most tender and tasty chile verde. If you're in the area stop by for a delicious meal.

This was an absolute pleasure, just found it on Google Maps, was getting hungry and still had a couple of hours of driving. Its a small place, but let me tell you, the food was fantastic. Had the taco special, wasn't sure what I was going to get, but they were the best tacos I have ever had. The service was second to none, If you are in this area, make sure you stop in. You will not be disappointed!!!

Stopped there during a road trip. Service and food is top notch, even though the interiors are not fancy. We ordered multiple veg and chicken tacos, chicken super quesadillas and a chicken sandwich, plus coffee. The food was super tasty.
It was mentioned that the restaurant has recently changed owners. Coincidentally the owners have an awesome sense of humor and kept cracking jokes for us.
Definitely a must visit if you’re passing around that place.

Saw that they had boba and was intrigued.

I enjoyed the small town feel, the friendly and funny staff, and the best crinkle cut fries I've had. Key info is that normally I hate crinkle cut fries, but I enjoyed these (crispy, salty, flavorful). My partner saw the bag of frozen fries in the back by the restroom, so I don't know what kind of magic they performed.

Service was fast, food was good but nothing special (we both got burgers). I asked my partner, who is actually boba-qualified, for his boba review and he said "sub-par, but glad they had it". The actual boba itself was a good texture, but it was $7 for muted flavor.

If you want a more interesting lunch stop than In and Out and you have 45 minutes, this place is a good time. Oh and they have breakfast all day and good hot sauce options (yucateco).

We stopped by on a road trip and we're pleasantly surprised. We got the carne asada nachos and carnitas nachos. Both were super delicious and absolutely loaded. He uses actual nacho cheese too opposed to melted shredded cheese. We got the food to go and it was packaged well so we had no spillage in the car. The bathrooms were also very clean. Really nice place and food.

Excellent food. Great place to stop on a road trip on 101. Had fish tacos with a simple sauce that was perfect. The wife was able to get bean street tacos that she'd been craving for miles. Thank you for being the best stop on our road trip. Definitely making San Ardo Cafe a required stop on our road trips on the 101.

Amazing food! We stumbled upon it when we were out of gas in highway 101. It's really worth it to make a stop here. This daily special was less than $7 and the best Mexican food I've eaten in a while!

One of the best burgers I’ve tried in the US. They produce their own patties. And they sell Mexican coke. Which is the best coke!

Lovely people, clean and the food smelled amazing! Didn’t have time to eat, but will definitely stop on our way back! Anyone who uses an old salsa bar as a planter gets my vote!
