I ordered pastries and a chai tea. I really liked what I ordered but I found it to be pricey for a tea and a cupcake. I tried their tres leches & horchata cupcakes. Both really good, but I wouldn't say the horchata cupcake tasted like horchata; It's just cinnamony. My other observation was that I asked for a bag since i had ordered To-go & they said they didn't have any bags. The cashier gave me a brown "lunch" bag but my things didn't even fit in it.

Parking is much better here than at the Southgate location, and there's a good amount of seating area, but I knocked this location down a point because the prep area here is clearly visible to the public, and it looked kind of a mess. The coffee was just as good as Southgate though, so if you're no OCD with cleanliness, this location is fine.

I was initially informed about Tierra Mia by a friend who lives in the area, I must admit, I had zero idea what to expect and even my highest of expectation (if I had them) would've been blown out of the water. When I walked in and saw the burlap bags and probat roaster, I knew I had to try a few things in order to give a transparent review.

Started with inquiring about their roasting and pastries. Note* All roasting is done in house at this location for 8 hours/day 5 days/week and the pastries are done at their La Habra location daily and sent over.

I can genuinely say this was a 4 star shop with 5 star expirence. I tried several things including a traditional cubano (no milk), a pour over, an Americano, and their infamous tres leches muffin, ALL of which were noteworthy. The espresso is bright yet balanced, no overwhelming citrus, but a balance of ripe orange and lemon with a hint of dark chocolate that came through more like milk chocolate because of the raw sugar. (Two points of feedback: the cup was too large and the cane sugar should've been added to the portafilter prior to pulling the espresso so that there weren't sugar granules at the bottom of the cup). The pourover was delicate with hints of cherry and mocha, very pleasing to sip (I'm not sure which region that bean was from but it tasted South American). The Americano was unlike most, it was bright like I expected however the balance wasn't thrown off by the water. Lastly the muffin was delicious, it's dense and moist with a molten sweet-milk center, ask them to warm it and enjoy it with a non sweetened hot coffee... you may achieve complete satisfaction.

Bottom line is I wanted to try as much as possible seeing that I'm not sure when I'll be in the area again. Now that I've expirenced it, I'll be putting their other locations on my "must visit" list. Thank you guys, keep up the great work, amazing knowledge, and spot on hospitality.

Nice.

FYI except enormous waiting time in the drive through and walk ins. They treat all walk ins like if your driving a car slowly.

Very, very good coffee & pastries. Friendly staff, I just wish there was one closer to where I live.

Third time I’ve came and I’ve been stuck in drive thru 40+ minutes. Just a few suggestions…fix the drive thru so cars can turn easier, hire more workers, I feel as if there’s no time limit on drive thru orders therefore it takes 40+ minutes to order. At least take care of two drive thru, two inside, two drive thru, and so forth. I love Tierra Mia but it should take more than an hour to get it. I arrive at 9:21 and it’s now 9:03 and I barely got to order.

The drive thru here on a Saturday morning is not a fun place, the line is a little wonky and whoever the young dude with the long hair is at the the window is not friendly and difficult to hear.

Good coffee and pastries but 30min to get 2 cups of coffee is way too long to wait

First time visiting as we are from out of town. I got the Horchata Latte and husband got the Mocha Mexicano. Both taste fantastic! Temperature was perfect too we could drink them right away. We will definitely be back anytime we are in town 😊
