We purchased a bag of whole beans at Varraco and were shocked at the price: $43 per pound. The beans are sold in small bags of 10 oz although this isn’t marked anywhere on the bag, nor is the roasting date or information about the beans. We normally get beans delivered from Portland in 5 lb bags for $19.50/ lb (which lasts us 3 weeks). The roasting date, marked on the bag, is always within 4-5 days of our receipt. This morning we tasted the two coffees side by side and there was virtually no difference in the taste. The Varraco was slightly brighter in flavour and had a longer finish. This difference is not worth 2.25 times the price. We tried Varraco as we like to support local businesses but at these prices we won’t be back.

We’re visiting from Australia - the land of coffee snobbery - and we’ve been back to Varraco every day we’ve been in the Palm Springs area. Great coffee, lovely staff, empanadas… the only improvement I can suggest is a smaller size for a less milky milk coffee. Try the Flat White.

New Coffee shop in town … sure let’s try it! I got the Varraco Latte with vanilla and one with vanilla and coconut, we also tried cinnamon apple empanadas. Let’s just say I got a stamp card and we will be a regular here! Great friendly staff as well 🙏

Varraco coffee’s beans, roasting and extraction deliver some of the best espresso I’ve tasted anywhere. Smooth, rich and not over roasted.

Great coffee and pastries! They obviously don't want you to hang out though, the chairs are a foot off the ground and sparse, and there's no bathroom, so uhh, you might have to rush home after your coffee starts working

I found this cafe by accident and I’m glad I did! The service was personal, fast and efficient. And it’s so nice to have a variety of new pastries in the desert! Try them out!

Amazing coffee. We are visiting from Seattle and had been struggling to find good coffee until we came here. The Americano was strong and really good! Highly recommend!

What a great spot for some really good brew! The treats were delicious and the Matcha Latte was a hit with the girls.

Everyone working is very friendly. The coffee and espresso drinks and delicious. There is parking along the front of the building and also a very large parking lot behind the building with wall throughs to the front side.
