The Hive

This is the best place I’ve ever eaten at mid-road trip. It was close to the highway, the food was great, and the serving sizes were large. There was also coffee, pastries, and ice cream. We had the Andes mint ice cream (even though by that point we were already too full) and it was delicious.

The best part of our experience was our waitress Betty, who made our experience remarkable. She went above and beyond, like we were VIPs arriving for our special day. She took time to show us the live bee hive, gave us samples of the different honeys when we asked which was the best, and was incredibly personable.

We will definitely be back and strongly recommend this place to others driving through.

It was my first time. The entree dish was yummy and the cheesecake was pretty delicious. Their gift shop had a good selection on honey infused with other flavors. The Chico chai tea honey is my fave.

We stopped here on our way to Eugene, easily the best food around here. Fresh and healthy options as well as burgers and fries. Very kid friendly! They have coloring pages and a great kids menu. I got their rice bowl with chicken and some fries. Kids got the grilled cheese and fries , And we finished up with some scoops of their house made honey orange ice cream, do not sleep on it, their ice cream is really really good. Best stop between the Bay and Redding!

A MUST stop! Need a place to rest and enjoy along your I-5 road trip, this is it. I felt so welcomed by the entire staff, the menu was great, the specialty drinks are amazing, and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful lunch on the patio where they welcomed our dog. The gift shop offers fun treats from cheese to chocolate. Love this place and hope to find my way back.

Service was ok..(although I would have had another wine, if asked) The dinner salad I ordered a/blue cheese; which was tossed into salad; I love blue cheese and needed more dressing...much more! Ended up taking salad home to add my own dressing for later snack. (Maybe I'm a piggy but ..lol) Had the ribs which were seasoned perfectly! Unfortunately our sides (I love sauteed veggies!!!) Where room temp, ribs were much warmer.. I feel for the price we would have fresh from the kitchen.. Hot. Hopefully this can be practiced and work on. Cute place

Nice enough place but our food was cold. I had the eggs benedict with mushrooms and eating it cold was a little disappointing especially for the price. Food portions were good, it was a little noisy as well.

We LOVED it here. The service is amazing and the food is spectacular. Loved the restaurants decor. Dont forget to have the ice cream. It is so yummy! We have decided we will drive over 2 hours each way just to have dinner here again!
