Almond Crunch French Toast (not on the menu) and the Big Ol Burrito (maybe called something different.) Experience was good, but the taste of the food lacked seasoning. Honestly, this could be an LA trend — but it was just a tad disappointing for that reason. I enjoyed the staff although they don’t handle business well. They were personable, and overall had a good attitude. I’d go back —- with salt. Lol
This eatery is wonderful. I've had omelets , French toast, and the delicious pancakes. The food is fabulous and tasty. Service is great. Our go to place for breakfast. Large portions. Parking is a challenge, metered on street.
Our experience with this place was overall good, and I'm giving it a 4/5 because of the very warm, attentive and helpful service we got from all staff. The technicalities as such of the environment and a couple of oversights would grant it a rather 3.5. I'll explain:
The food: I had the Ned Benedict. I love Benny's and try a restaurant's benny to measure their breakfast creative initiative and skill, because it's not easy to get an eggs Benedict right. Mine was done beautifully. The english muffin was crispy and toasted just well underneath and none of the parts were soggy, which is hard to do as there is a lot of sauce and cheese involved..so that says that the chef knows and the service staff got it out just in time. Again, those factors are demonstrative of a restaurant well run. The potatoes on the side were creamy and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Frosted French toast: what I liked about this dish was that it was very creative and unique...who would've thought that frosted flakes and walnuts would go so well with french toast! plenty of fruits and just the right amount of soft and crispy in all the right places. I would describe tasting this dish as more fun than anything, because as a breakfast dish it triggers certain taste buds that are perhaps not awake yet! ;) The coffee was average. What was a bit disappointing was my cup had lipstick stains on it, but the waiter very swiftly replaced it. Environment: the only thing that I would suggest is to make sure where there are tables you're seating your guests at, make sure it's clean. Where we were sitting it was next to a plant but all around it were cob webs and dirt ....and that could've easily been spic and spanned in a minute...aside from these few suggestions we had a great time! Thank you!
I ordered online for delivery. I got the chilaqulies they were so good and it’s a huge portion, the potatoes were good too my kids and I loved them. I got 3 orders of Oreo pancakes -3 HUGE pancakes came in each order, I wish that would’ve been in the description, one order would’ve been enough for 3 kids.
Food was not as fantastic as I expected it to be, but it was very tasty, could be much more elevated, especially at this pricing for breakfast. Portions are way oversized which helps justify the cost. Service was super friendly, very personable and attentive. Street side dining in a congested area was a little less than desirable, but they did a nice job trying to keep it tight.
It was Sunday morning and I was looking somewhere to have breakfast in LA while on a trip here. I found this place and decided to take a shot since the reviews were decent. We checked in for a party of 2 at 10am. There was no wait and we got seated right away. I’m not to fond of being placed in a hallway but oh well. The server was very nice and knowledgeable. I didn’t like how I had to use a digital menu but that’s how it is. I went ahead with a coffee, eggs Benedict combo with potatoes (no hash browns here) and I got a side of bacon. The food came out fairly quick. The hollandaise sauce didn’t have much flavor to it. The egg wasn’t that runny and was somewhat over done. The potatoes were yummy but the crunchy part only everything else under was unseasoned. I got a side of bacon but was disappointed. For the price of it I was expecting a much more quality type bacon. I’ve had better at ihop/dennys. I finished it all off with the blueberry pancakes. Those were pretty yummy. The butter placed on top had a taste like when once leaves something in the fridge for a bit. I was super excited about this place but don’t think I’ll be going back.
I ordered take out and when I arrived they said they didn’t have an order under that name and to wait. They were very busy so I waited an extra 10 minutes and then showed them my confirmation and asked about my food. The lady was dismissive and said she’d go and check but they didn’t have any to-go orders. She came back out and didn’t speak to me. Someone else finally came outside and said my order would be ready soon. 30 minutes after my expected pickup time it was ready. No apology, no care. I love this place but they have to work on their customer service when they’re busy
Eggs Benedict, Oreo pancakes, chilaquiles were just a few of the plates my family and I shared here at EAT…. Delicious!!! Matcha drink could have used a little more matcha but other than that I was satisfied!!! I was really happy to have had Priscilla as our waitress, she was amazing. She was polite and attentive and spoke Spanish!!!! Woot !!!! Big thank you to you Priscilla!!
Wish I could have gotten the hostess’s name, she was great and very helpful. Had my baby nephew with me and she helped me set his car seat on a high chair. She was wearing a pale green shirt- if you read this… thanks!!!!
Breakfast here is great! We've been a couple times. The fruit side selection is really unique and the menu has something for everyone. Everyone loved their meals and we will definitely be back!
Excellent friendly prompt service. Delicious food, ordered machaca with ripe fresh fruit also eggs Benedict with zucchini. Everything was yummy. Outside dog friendly seating with heaters. Amazing experience, casual dining, friend puppy and myself will be back. Parking limited to 1 hour.
