Avenue Cafe

The food was great and the place was clean. Blah blah blah. These people are amazing. Im riding my bike down the west coast and stopped in here for a quick bite. I ended up staying all night and am now sleeping under a bench outside a school across the street because i stayed here too late and didn't make it to my next campsite. Totally worth it. Like i said, great food and everything was clean but the employees were amazing and really made me feel welcome. Only thing for miles so definitely stop for foods. Hope you guys see this. Thanks for all the tips and help..

One of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Northern California. Period! I had both the spaghetti which they said was like a bolognese but it’s more like a spaghetti but it was very delicious. Additionally I had the chicken Parmesan which was delightful. I had a glass or two of Cabernet with both dinners their house wine is very good. Service both times was beyond good it was excellent! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, good food nice and hot friendly prompt service, five stars.

We have eaten two meals at the Cafe. One lunch in the fall of 2021 and lunch spring of 2022. Both meals were wonderful. There was a recent ownership change, but the new owners appear to be continuing the awesome service. The most recent lunch there we got there a bit before they opened. We were invited to sit on the porch and were served coffee and tea while they got ready to open. Very nice service, Thanks.

the rating says it best: it's okay. the food isn't bad, but it's definitely food you get on a roadtrip when there's not many other options. maybe it was our mistake for not ordering pizza; so many of the reviews said was the best thing on the menu. but, i got the pesto pasta and my boufriend got the grilled turkey sandwich. both were a bit underwhelming, but the grilled turkey was certainly the best of the two.

i make a point to rate on a scale of lgbtq+friendliness (dangerous -> unwelcoming -> safe -> positive -> actively inclusive). i would rate this restaurant safe. the attitude and words of some of the people who come throught the restaurant are the only real concern for me- the only times i felt unsafe had to do with that rather than the staff or the restaurant. the staff seemed very nice and the restaurant was cute.

I had been riding and saw this place and had to stop by. My server was Carly and she was wonderful. Very professional and helpful with the beer selection. Also the food was great. I had the fried calamari, french dip sandwich, and onion rings. The kombucha drink they had was perfect. I'm definitely coming back for sure.

The food was excellent, the vibes; incredible. We had the Veggie Burger (my first) and it could've fooled me. We took a calzone to go and it was AMAZING!

Food was really good and Marsala our server was great. Wide variety of items and the quality was good. Worth a stop and would like to try it for breakfast next time.

I wish I took a picture but I had one of the best turkey sandwiches of my life here. My husband had a Philly cheesesteak that was amazing. We both still rave about the sandwiches a month later! Great place for lunch while exploring the Avenue of the Giants.

This little cafe has a great menu for a small town. The food is great, the prices are very reasonable. The staff greets you with a welcoming smile and is on top of game. The waitress will give you an honest opinion wheen asked about food on the menu. And we even got our coffee refilled without having to ask. But was not hovering over us and interrupting or eating or conversation. I would recommend this little jewel to everyone who is looking for a down home feeling and great food. Stop in and find out for yourself. Enjoy everyone!
