Roberto's Cafe

This has to be the worst Mexican food I've had in California. I ordered the, "Carnitas burrito." The meat tasted like cat food. I had to throw it out.

Full disclosure: I've never tasted cat food, but it definitely smelled and looked like cat food. If my Labrador had smelled it, she would have turned away and left. A fancy Feast kind of evening - it was that bad.

WARNING: Portions are like for 2.5 person 😂 i've ordered steak Fajita. Chips are delicious with the hot spice. They are served after immediately you sit down. I loved the "last bamba" margaritha. Waitress has a warm welcome and good recommendation. Lobster fajita's can be seen on the photo.

The waitress was really sweet but when a guest at my table complained about a very sharp chicken bone found in a burrito, the owner came over and gave us an absolutely awful attitude for no reason. Never once apologized made us seem like we we're the ones that stabbed her in the throat with a bone. Avoid this angry woman at all costs. Been here 3 or 4 times but we will never be back and I suggest you do the same.

Great Mexican food in Mammoth. The food was very tasty and the burritos were quite large. The chili relleno and taco combo also yummy. Service was a lil slow, but I believe that was only due to being very busy. We were here the 1st week of the year and tons of folks in town. Margaritas delightful and beer cold. Cost a lil high for Mexican food but average for the area. Give them a try when in town.

Loved this place since I was a little kid. Now all grown up im still coming here and the food is amazing. I ordered shrimp tacos but I think there was too much salad on the taco. I could barely find the tortilla lol.

I can’t believe this place! I’m a few bites into my meal and I’m anxious to leave a review. I walked right in, got a seat. Fast water, fast drinks and super fast food. Salsa was a bit spicy, but that’s how I love it. I tried the chicken soup. Better than amazing. I had the chicken fajita dinner and my expectations have been exceeded. This is your best option

Tried dinning in with my Mexican family and friends, and didn't even get to enjoy the experience. Theres not much parking available. Staff was very rude towards us with an attitude. We told the Staff that we need table/booth(s) for a group of 27. 2/3 of the group was arrived together. When the other part of the group arrived they refused to give them a table. We didn't even get to eat, we left right after our drinks were served. Thats how bad it was. Overall, worst first time experience at the restaurant.

I have come here lots of times and I really enjoy it! The only reason for the minus one star is that it didn't seem that a lot of attention was being paid to the cleaning? There was food all over the floor, some things were dirty that I touched, under the tables had junk everywhere. It could just have been that it was busy and they couldn't keep up, which is understandable. I will check it out next time and update accordingly!

Every time we come to mammoth, we make it a Point to come and eat at Roberto’s. We tried so many of their dishes and they’re all freaking delicious! You can’t go wrong! I always get the albondigas soup! So great on a cold winter day. I definitely recommend this place for your Mexican food cravings! And the margaritas will have you ready for a midday nap! They get the job done! Coming from a Mexican and having had home cooked Mexican meals my whole life… you know this place has to be good!

If you love Mexican food, you MUST not miss this place when in Mammoth Lakes area. Must try, excellent food! Very authentic.....
