Awesome coffee/espresso spot downtown. The space is designed beautifully and the drinks are equally delicious. They have wifi here and quite a bit of seating, so it makes for a great place to post up for a few on your laptop or to read.

I love Verve. I live on the next block so I drop by a lot. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It has a young profesh, very mellow vibe. Sometimes I like to sit in on the weekend and read. This is third wave coffee so it’s not cheap, but in reality it’s not that much more expensive than your typical Starbucks. If I ever move from downtown, this will easily be the #1 thing I’ll miss.

I travel for work and one of my hobbies is to find a perfect place for an amazing coffee experience. Last year I visited this place while I was in LA and decided to come back again because it was good. But now... it’s a different story... coffee is still good, but it’s way overpriced and the pastries are old and stale. Will not return.

Coffee - some of the best in Los Angeles, I brew espresso at home and only buy beans here. Always fresh roast dates.
Staff - SUPER helpful, friendly and always willing to ensure good service.
Ambience - Nice place to sit for a coffee and get some work done, clean and many available tables/chairs.

This was on the very top of my list when I visited LA - it's world famous when it comes to coffee. They are setting the bar high and raising the standard of what good coffee means in America.
It never disappoints, I go in every time I visit. Tasty treats, beautiful interiors and amazing coffee, cool merch. Avoid if you get annoyed by hipsters, there's a lot here but if you do care about carefully selected, roasted, and brewed beans then you have to give it a try.

Very hip coffee shop. Great atmosphere, beautiful latte art, good flavor to the coffee (not your average espresso, mine had a nice chocolatey taste). Croissants were beautiful, dark, and flakey. Welcoming, friendly staff. My one complaint that would keep me from being a regular? The coffee just isn't that hot. It's probably part of the artisanal approach - cooler water brings out more flavor from the beans. While the flavor was great, I would enjoy it more if it was actually hot. Even asking for extra hot coffee gives you just average hot. (The lack of sleeves for a to-go coffee is a sign. You don't need them here because the cup won't warm your hand that much).

An incredible find in downtown LA, in a gorgeous, clean and flawless space with giant open ceilings, incredible natural light and featuring fancy high end merchandise for sale. As soon as I arrived, service was very prompt and friendly as I tried to decide what to order from their wide variety of coffees and fancy juices. On this first visit, I kept it simple with my usual cappuccino order. It had a rich espresso taste and made perfectly down to the velvety foam. Delizioso! Verve is yet another perfect addition to the development of finer restaurants and coffeehouses that are enhancing the fashionable, hip and stylish vibe of DTLA.

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of DTLA. They're always super nice, which is great when you/re just trying to get through your morning and have coffee, and they have great juice shooters, salads, and lite bites to grab if you need food, as well.

My favorite LA coffee shop. Verve’s aesthetic is inviting and organic, with ivy and plants everywhere, creating an organic, wholesome environment at first glance. Once inside, the family style tables and eclectic coffee and juice offerings are sure to impress. Sit down and get to work and you’ll fit right in. Or get a coffee to-go and stand around enjoying the ambience in the interim. Verve also offers a bunch of local merchandise, perfect for browsing while you wait for your coffee. My favorite part: the strong espresso in quality porcelain, completing the modern yet still raw feel, leaving me inspired to write and hang out a bit. Don’t flinch at the prices. It’s LA. That’s to be expected. But the vibes are second to none. 5/5.
