LAMILL Coffee - Silverlake

Got the wild mushroom omelette, in hindsight probably should’ve asked for a refund. Ridiculously overpriced for the size and quality—just so bland and oily. Two star omelette but I got some sort of berry tonic drink that hit the spot. Very nice staff there!

This place has unfortunately cancelled the breakfast burrito from their menu. The blood Orange cranberry muffin is also gone. Those were our 2 favorites.

So sad ): this used to be an inspiration to get up in the morning. The coffee is descent, but if that’s what you’re after there are better options in the neighborhood. The food made it worth the trip.

Order at the counter and take a number. Coffee was ok, but they never brought my food. Nobody was clearing tables so even after going elsewhere for lunch, my number and coffee pot were still on the table where I had left them.

I have coffee shipped to me out of state from here frequently. However, I received a gift card over the holidays, and when trying to order on line as usual, it's saying the gift card is invalid ... which I know is not true due to having received it from a family member. When I try to call to get help, no one EVER answers the phone, and there is no voicemail. Very frustrating! I will gladly change rating to a 5 star once someone contacts me with some help.

Great coffee and food but soooo expensive, too expensive actually. Although we like it there we stopped going due to what feels like price gouging.

NO WI-FI !! I was so excited to get some work done here, spent $14 on coffee and a snack, to then find out there is no Wi-Fi for the public. How can you have a cafe that doesn’t have Wi-Fi? I understand not wanting lingering customers, but put a time limit on the Wi-Fi then. Super disappointing.

$11 for two half empty muffins.. they’re delicious but empty in the middle. Not worth the $$

This business did not rub me the right way. The service was not all that great. I arrived and immediately they told me the kitchen is closed - I accepted that. So the server proceeds to tell me they only have a couple of drinks available to order. I asked if I could get a matcha latte - that cost damn near $8 if you want a milk alternative. Another lady brings out a 12 oz cup of green water! It tasted like they just heated it in the microwave. There was barely any milk and they didn't even bother to actually froth the latte. I don't know if it was because of my demographic or how I looked, but I don't appreciate tipping and receiving sub par service or paying for a service period then recieving a watered down product.

**UPDATE** the manager was super responsive and genuinely concerned. I emailed him this morning letting him know I had read his response and just ordered again through Postmates. He made sure my order was perfect this time! I'm actually drinking a HOT salted caramel latte, and it's fantastic. I ordered the breakfast sandwich this time but have yet to try it. Not feeling like eating after my 2nd Covid vaccine yesterday. But, I'm sure it's good...it looks really good, and I hope to eat it later.

As I stated in my original review, the food and coffee is really good! Their roasted potatoes are probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and the bacon is really smokey, thick and crisp. Since they list the brand of bacon they use, I have gone online and will purchase it. It's expensive but worth it! Lastly, my latte was really good. Strong but not overpowering or bitter. It's about the same price as Starbucks, so I recommend going there instead, as Starbucks has really lowered their coffee standards over the past few years, in my opinion.

**Original Review** The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because their potatoes, breakfast burrito and coffee are actually really good...if you actually get what you ordered. I've ordered 3 times using postmates and have only received the correct order once. It was not a Postmates issue, it was an employee at LAMILL issue. The latest screw up that led to this review is I ordered 2 HOT salted caramel lattes. I was really looking forward to it, but what arrived was iced coffee. I double checked and I did not order iced coffee...I can't stand iced coffee...we don't drink it. So, I waited 45 minutes just to throw my coffee down the drain. I doubt I will order from here again, which is too bad because if you can get the correct order, they actually have great food and coffee.

Great lighting for those who love great lighting. Employees are awesome, genuine, and respectful. And swift at that too! The coffee is delicious! The people nice and wise! 5 stars! One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to. Seats comfy, like I said also lighting. What else do you want? Haven’t tried the food so dont @ me. You got a lake near by too! Great spot!
